Sir J. Child's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Longueville reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Lands and Tenements of Sir Josiah Child Baronet, deceased, in Trustees, for the better Performance of certain Covenants entered into by the said Sir Josiah Child upon the Marriage of his Eldest Son with the Daughter of Sir Thomas Cooke Knight," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting certain Lands and Tenements of Sir Josiah Child Baronet, deceased, in Trustees, for the better Performance of certain Covenants entered into by the said Sir Josiah Child upon the Marriage of his Eldest Son with the Daughter of Sir Thomas Cooke Knight."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Howland's Bill.

The Lord Viscount Longueville also reported from the Lords Committees, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for taking the Estate in Law of several Messuages and Lands, mortgaged to Jeffrey and Edward Howland and their Heirs, out of Wriothesley Russell, commonly called Lord Marquis of Tavistock, and his Lady," as fit to pass, with One Amendment.

Which was read Three Times, and Agreed to.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir John Francklyn and Mr. Pitts:

To return the said last mentioned Bill, and desire their Concurrence to their Lordships Amendment made thereunto.

Pet. against Bone Lace Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of sundry Dealers in English Bone Lace, in Behalf of themselves and several Thousands, Dealers in, and Manufacturers of, the said Commodity; praying, "That they may be heard, by their Counsel, against the Bill, intituled, An Act to repeal an Act made in the Ninth Year of His Majesty's Reign, intituled, An Act for rendering the Laws more effectual, for preventing the Importation of Foreign Bone Lace, Loom Lace, Needle-work, Point, and Cut-work, Three Months after the Prohibition of Woollen Manufactures in Flanders shall be taken off:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners shall be heard, by their Counsel, on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock; as also any other Persons for the Bill, if they think fit.

Speidell versus Cornock:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Francis Speidell, John Dann, William Bridges, and Thomas Harvey, from a Decree made in the Court of Exchequer the Two and Twentieth Day of June last, and subsequent Orders in the said Cause, on the Behalf of Samuel Cornock, Edmund Ferrers, and Gilbert Lacy; praying the Reversal of the said Decree and Orders, as also upon the Answer of the said Samuel Cornock, Edmund Ferrers, and Gilbert Lacy, put in thereunto, and due Consideration of what was offered thereupon:

Judgement affirmed.

It is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Francis Speidell, John Dann, William Bridges, and Thomas Harvey, shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree and Orders from which they appealed shall be, and are hereby, affirmed.

Adjourn.
