This Day Thomas Earl of Coventre sat first in Parliament, upon the Death of his Father Thomas Earl of Coventre; and took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.

Gardner's Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for vesting the Real Estate of Joseph Gardner and Sarah his Wife, late the Estate of William Ridges Esquire deceased, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of the Debts and Legacy therein mentioned; and for applying the Residue of the Money upon the Trusts therein specified."

Barlow's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for confirming the Sale of the Manor of Stansall, and certain Tenements in the County of York, made by Thomas Barlow Gentleman; and for settling other Lands, of greater Value, to the same Uses; and for vesting other Lands and Hereditaments in Trustees, to be sold, for purchasing other Lands, to be settled to the same Uses."

Upon reading the Petition of Dalby Thomas, of Low Leighton, in the County of Essex, Esquire; praying Leave to bring in a Bill, to sell the undivided Third Part of several Closes and Ground, Parcel, or reputed Parcel, of the Manor of Barnsbury, alias Barnard's Bury, in Islingston, in the County of Midl'x; he settling another Estate, of better Value, to the same Uses; all Parties concerned consenting thereunto:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner hath hereby Leave given him to bring in a Bill, as desired.

Beisly versus Stratford:

After hearing Counsel, upon the Petition and Appeal of Evseby Beisly, from a Decree made in the Court of Chancery in the Kingdom of Ireland, the Seven and Twentieth Day of February, One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-eight, in a Cause there depending, between Robert Stratford and Evseby Stratford, Minors, by their Guardian Thomas Broderick Esquire, Plaintiffs, and the Petitioner and others Defendants; and praying the Reversal of the said Decree; as also Counsel for the said Robert Stratford and Euseby Stratford:

Judgement affirmed.

Upon due Consideration of what was offered thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Euseby Beisly shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Decree therein complained of shall be, and is hereby, affirmed.

Williamson versus Repem, in Error.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Errors argued, by Counsel, at the Bar, upon the Writ of Error depending in this House, wherein Robert Williamson is Plaintiff, and His Majesty by His Attorney General Defendant, on Friday the Nineteenth Day of January next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Dutchess of Norfolk versus E. Peterborow.

Upon reading the Petition of Mary Dutchess of Norfolke; shewing, "That her Servants, in November last, did cut a little Wood on a Parcel of Ground lying in Drayton Parke, claimed to belong to the Earl of Peterborow; upon which, Complaint being made to this House by the said Earl of Peterborow, One of the Petitioner's Servants, Thomas Hoite, was taken, and is now in Custody, by Order of this House; and praying, either to order his Discharge, or to appoint a Day for the Petitioner to be heard, by her Counsel, touching the Matter complained of:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by One Counsel, at the Bar, on Tuesday the Ninth Day of January next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon, as also One Counsel for the Earl of Peterborow.
