Irish Linen Manufacture, Bill.

The Earl of Rochester reported from the Committee, the Bill, intituled, "An Act for encouraging the Linen Manufacture of Ireland; and bringing Flax and Hemp into, and the making of Sail Cloth in, this Kingdom," as fit to pass, without any Amendment.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for encouraging the Linen Manufacture of Ireland; and bringing Flax and Hemp into, and the making of Sail Cloth in, this Kingdom."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Low Wines, &c. Duties on, Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for laying several Duties upon Low Wines, or Spirits of the First Extraction; and for preventing the Frauds and Abuses of Brewers, Distillers, and other Persons chargeable with the Duties of Excise."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

Then the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill, without any Amendment."

Message from H. C. to return the Highways Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir Henry Hobart and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better amending and repairing the Highways, and the Explanation of the Laws relating thereunto;" and to acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Lords Amendment made therein.

Bill to continue the Acts for prohibiting Trade with France, and for Encouragement of Privateers.

The Earl of Torrington reported, from the Committee appointed to draw Reasons, to be offered at a Conference with the House of Commons, for their Lordships insisting upon their Amendments made to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Acts for prohibiting all Trade and Commerce with France, and for the Encouragement of Privateers."

Which were read.

And, upon Debate, it is ORDERED, That the Reasons shall be re-committed, to be further considered by the same Committee who drew them; who are to meet on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock.

Marriages, Deaths, and Burials, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for enforcing the Laws which restrain Marriages without License or Bans, and for the better registering Marriages, Births, and Burials."
