PRAYERS.

Trade with France, &c. to prohibit Bill to fix the Commencement of the Act for:

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for declaring the Commencement of an Act (intituled, An Act for prohibiting all Trade and Commerce with France, and for the Encouragement of Privateers) to be from the Time that it passed the Royal Assent, to wit, on the Fourteenth Day of March One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-two."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To carry down the said Bill, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Militia Bill, and to repeal the Act against shooting in Hail Shot.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-five; and for repealing the Statute of the Second and Third Year of King Edward the Sixth, intituled, An Act against shooting in Hail Shot."

Ordered, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, presently.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee thereupon.

The House was resumed.

And the Earl of Bridgewater reported, "That the Committee had gone through the said Bill; and think it fit to pass, without any Amendment."

Message from H. C. to return the Bill of Indemnity for Sir Tho. Cooke:

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Bridges and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act to indemnify Sir Thomas Cooke from Actions which he might be liable to, by reason of his discovering to whom he paid and distributed several Sums of Money, therein mentioned to be received out of the Treasure of the East India Company, or for any Prosecution for such Distribution;" to which they have agreed, with some Amendments, whereunto they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Then the Amendments, being read Three Times, were agreed to.

Lords agree to their Amendments to it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To let them know, the Lords have agreed to their Amendments made to the said Bill.

Free Conference on Trials for Treason, Bill.

Whereas this Day was appointed for resuming the Consideration of what was offered at the Free Conference with the House of Commons, the Fifteenth Instant:

It is Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration hereof shall be resumed To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Vellum, &c. Duties on, and Tonnage of Ships Bill, to explain the Act for.

Hodie 3^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for explaining and regulating several Doubts, Duties, and Penalties, in the late Act for granting several Duties upon Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, and for ascertaining the Admeasurement of the Tonnage of Ships."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

ORDERED, That the Commons have Notice, that the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

Tibbs, D. of Leeds' Servant, arrested:

Upon Oath made, at the Bar of this House, "That John Tibbs, menial Servant to his Grace the Duke of Leeds Lord President, was arrested, by David Lewis, of Wansaw, Bailiff, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Lewis to be attached;

It is therefore Ordered, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said David Lewis, and bring him in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for his Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Roger Charnock Esquire, Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other His Majesty's Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

and Tibbs discharged.

Whereas John Tibbs, menial Servant to his Grace the Duke of Leeds Lord President, was arrested, by David Lewis, of Wansaw, Bailiff, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Tibbs shall be, and he is hereby, discharged from the said Arrest, or any Restraint he now lies under by reason thereof; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, or Keepers of Prisons whatsoever, in whose Custody the said John Tibbs now is.
