PRAYERS.

Method to oblige Lords to attend.

It being moved, "That a Day may be appointed, to consider of Ways to oblige Lords to attend this House at the Times to which the House shall adjourn:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Consideration of this Matter shall be resumed on Tuesday next, at Twelve of the Clock; and that all the Lords be summoned then to attend; and no other Business to intervene.

Winhauld to attend;

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Winbauld do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

and Bell.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Richard Bell do attend this House on Monday the Eleventh Day of February next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Sir P. Pindar attends.

Sir Paul Pindar appearing this Day, in Pursuance of an Order of the Fourteenth Instant:

It is thereupon ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Yeoman Usher attending this House do take into his Care the Person of the said Sir Paul Pindar; and that he be brought into the Court of Chancery To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Evans to be attached, for dispersing a Paper reflecting on this House.

Upon Oath made at the Bar, "That James Evans hath dispersed a printed Paper (intituled, The Case of Edward Williams Esquire, against a Bill sent from the House of Peers to the House of Commons,) reflecting on this House:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy or Deputies, shall forthwith attach the Body of the said James Evans, and bring him in safe Custody to answer for his Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and others His Majesty's Officers, to be assisting in this Case.

King's Answer to Address.

The Lord Marquis of Normanby acquainted the House, "That His Majesty had given Order, pursuant to the Address, that the Papers concerning the Fleet the last Summer should be laid before this House; and that, his Grace the Duke of Shrewsbury being sick, his Lordship had the Papers;" and delivered them.

Bp. Exon, concerning the Judgement, Philips versus Bury.

Upon reading the Petition of Jonathan Lord Bishop of Exeter, in relation to the Judgement of this House (Phillips versus Bury), upon a Writ of Error:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Judges of the Court of King's Bench do attend this House To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock.

State of the Fleet.

After some Time spent in Consideration of the State of the Fleet; the following Orders were made; (videlicet,)

Commissioners of the Admiralty to deliver Copies of Orders, &c. sent to the Fleet;

"It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do lay before this House, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock, Copies of all Orders which they have given to the Fleets in The Mediterranean and Channel, relating to the Expeditions the last Summer, except only such Parts of those Orders which relate to any particular Design yet remaining to be executed; and also of the Orders to the Convoys of the Store-ships and Victuallers, that went to The Streights before Christmas last, and of the Orders to the Victuallers for supplying the said Fleets for the last Year; and also bring an Account of the Number of Cruizers employed the last Year, and of their Stations, and of the Times appointed to them respectively to cruize in those Stations; and also Copies of the Orders to those Men of War that went to The West Indies the last Year, except only such Parts of those Orders which relate to any particular Design yet remaining to be executed."

Commissioners of Transports to send an Account of Orders for providing Transports;

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Transports do lay before this House, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock, Copies of the Orders they received, for providing Ships, or any other Things relating to the Expedition of the Fleet in the Channel, the last Summer."

and Commissioners of Admiralty, an Account of Stores, &c. in The Mediterranean.

"ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Commissioners of the Admiralty do give this House an Account, under their Hands, on Monday, the Eleventh Day of February next, as likewise to bring the like under the Hands of the Commissioners of the Navy, whether that, supposing that the Stores and Provisions that have been already sent to the Fleet in The Mediterranean, and those designed to be sent, shall arrive all in Safety, they conceive that Fleet will be sufficiently supplied to continue there till the First Day of September next, or to return Home by that Time if it be thought fit; the Accidents of an Engagement with an Enemy, or of Wind and Weather, excepted."
