Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for raising the Militia of this Kingdom for the Year One Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-four, although the Month's Pay formerly advanced be not re-paid."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. that the Lords have passed it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Mr. Pitt and Mr. Keck:

To let the Commons know, the Lords have agreed to the said Bill, without any Amendment.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Sir Thomas Littleton and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for granting to Their Majesties several Rates and Duties upon Tonnage of Ships and Vessels, and upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompenses and Advantages in the said Act mentioned to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Tonnage Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting to Their Majesties several Rates and Duties upon Tonnage of Ships and Vessels, and upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompenses and Advantages in the said Act mentioned to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Fifteen Hundred Thousand Pounds, towards carrying on the War against France."

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be read the Second Time on Monday next, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Bowles and others:

Who returned the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing Johanna D'Offarrell, an Infant, and her Sister and Two Brothers," with some Amendments; to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Privateers, for better Encouragement of, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the better Encouragement of Privateers."

And, after some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Earl of Stamford reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill, and desire another Time to sit again."

ORDERED, That the House shall be put into a Committee To-morrow, upon the said Bill.

Peirce to be heard, against the Amendments made by H. C. to D'Offarrel & al. Nat Bill.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Peirce Esquire, relating to the Amendments made by the House of Commons, to the Bill, intituled, "An Act for naturalizing "Johanna D'Offarrell an Infant, and her Sister and Two Brothers:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioner shall be heard, by One Counsel, at the Bar, on Saturday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and the Persons also mentioned in the Amendments to the Bill, if they think fit.
