Message from H. C. with a Bill.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Brigadier Earle and others:

Who brought up a Bill, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert Their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for the Payment of Quarters for One Year longer;" to which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Mutiny Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for continuing the Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers, who shall mutiny, or desert Their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for the Payment of Quarters for One Year longer."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be read a Second Time To-morrow.

Message from H. C. with Bills.

A Message from the House of Commons, by Mr. Waller and others; who brought up Two Bills:

One, intituled, "An Act to enable divers Merchants, Insurers, (who have sustained many Losses by the present War with France) the better to satisfy their several Creditors."

The other, intituled, "An Act to take away the Process for the Capiatur Fine in the several Courts at Westminster."

To which Bills they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Ironside versus Bradshaw.

Upon reading the Petition of Edward Ironside and others, Respondents, to the Petition and Appeal of Sir Cornwall Bradshaw and others; praying a Day may be appointed for hearing of the said Appeal:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel, at the Bar, on Thursday the Eighth Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Cavendish's Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for increasing the present Maintenance of the Honourable Henry Cavendish Esquire, and for providing a Jointure for such Woman as he shall marry during the Life of his Father the Earl of Devonshire."

And, after some Time spent therein, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Cornwallis reported, "That the Committee had agreed to the said Bill, with some Amendments."

Which were read Twice, and agreed to; and the Bill ordered to be engrossed, with the Amendments.

Adjourn.
