A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To desire a present Conference, in the Painted Chamber, upon the Subject-matter of the Conference had with them the Sixteenth Day of January last.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Waller and others:

To acquaint this House, that they have agreed to the Bill, intituled, "An Act to indemnify the Trustees of James Clayton Esquire for joining with him in selling Lands, for Payment of his Debts," without any Amendment.

Sir C. Barrington's Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act to enable Sir Charles Barrington Baronet to settle a Jointure on Dame Bridget his Wife, and to make Provision for their Younger Children."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Frere's Bill.

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Sale of Part of the Estate of Henry Frere, an Infant, to raise Monies, for inning and recovering other Parts thereof now under Water, and for Payment of Debts charged thereon."

The Question was put, "Whether this Bill shall pass?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to H. C. with these Bills.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Sir Miles Cooke and Mr. Meredith:

To carry down the said Bills, and desire their Concurrence to them.

Answer from thence.

The Messengers sent to the House of Commons return Answer:

That the Commons will give a Conference presently, as desired.

Report of the Conference.

The Commons being come to the Conference, the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Conference.

Which being ended, the House was resumed.

And the Duke of Bolton reported, "That they had delivered at the Conference what they were commanded."

L. Willoughby to execute the Office of L. G. Chamberlain.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Willoughby of Ersby shall execute the Office of Lord Great Chamberlain for this Day.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, to robe.

The House was resumed.

King present.

His Majesty, being arrayed in his Royal Robes and Regal Crown, ascended His Throne, the Peers being in their Robes also: The Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod was commanded to signify His Majesty's Pleasure to the Commons, "That they presently attend "His Majesty."

Who being come, with their Speaker; he made a short Speech to the King, and delivered the Money Bill to the Clerk of the Parliaments; who delivered the same to the Clerk of the Crown; the Title whereof was read, as followeth; (videlicet,)

Bills passed.

"1. An Act to supply the Deficiency of the Money raised by a former Act, intituled, An Act for granting to Their Majesties certain Rates and Duties of Excise, upon Beer, Ale, and other Liquors, for securing certain Recompenses and Advantages in the said Act mentioned to such Persons as shall voluntarily advance the Sum of Ten Hundred Thousand Pounds towards carrying on the War against France."

To which Bill the Royal Assent was pronounced in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Le Roy et la Reyne, remerciant les bons Subjects, acceptant leur Benevolence, et ainsi l' veulent."

In like Manner the Bill following was passed; (videlicet,)

"2. An Act to prevent Disputes and Controversies concerning Royal Mines."

To which the Royal Assent was pronounced in these Words; (videlicet,)

"Le Roy et la Reyne l' veulent."

"3. An Act to indemnify the Trustees of James Clayton Esquire for joining with him in selling Lands, for Payment of his Debts."

To which the Royal Assent was pronounced in these Words; videlicet,

"Soit fait come il est desiré."

Then His Majesty was pleased to withdraw; and the Commons went to their House.

All the Judges to attend, at the Rising of the Courts.

The House taking Notice, that the Judges do not daily attend as they ought, the following Order was made; (videlicet,)

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That all the Judges do attend this House To-morrow, immediately upon the Rising of the respective Courts in Westminster Hall, and not to go away until the Rising of this House."

Voting by Balloting.

A Motion having been made concerning voting by Balloting:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will take the same into Consideration on Saturday the Seventeenth Day of this Instant February, at Eleven of the Clock; and that all the Lords in and about the Town be summoned then to attend.

Poor Prisoners, to explain the Act for Relief of, Bill.

The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee, upon the Bill, intituled, "An Act for the explaining and for the more effectual Execution of a former Act for Relief of poor Prisoners."

After some Time, the House was resumed.

And the Lord Bishop of Salisbury reported, "That the Committee had made some Progress in the Bill; and desire another Day may be appointed, for the House to be put into a Committee again on the said Bill."

To which the House agreed; and ORDERED, That the House be put into a Committee again thereupon on Friday Sevennight.

Adjourn.
