Minshall versus Jones & al.

The House being moved, "That a Day may be appointed for hearing of the Cause wherein Richard Minshall and Anne Minshall Widow are Appellants, and Richard Harris and Henry Jones are Respondents:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Saturday the Fourth Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Greenland Trade, for regaining, &c. Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for the regaining, encouraging, and settling, the Greenland Trade."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill shall be committed to the Lords following:

Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.

Fitch versus Fitch.

This Day being appointed for John Fitch and others to put in their Answer to the Petition of the Lady Fitch; and the said John Fitch, being not in Town, cannot sign it, though the other Parties have:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said John Fitch may put in his Answer this Day, signed only by his Counsel; and that this House will hear the said Cause, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, on Friday the Third Day of March next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Game, for Preservation of, Bill.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Justice Nevill and Mr. Baron Turton do attend the Committee appointed to consider of the Act for the more effectual Discovery and Conviction of such as shall destroy the Game, Tomorrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Additional Duties, Bill for.

Hodie 1^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for granting to Their Majesties certain additional Impositions upon several Goods and Merchandizes, for the prosecuting the present War against France."

ORDERED, That the said Bill shall be read a Second Time To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Mutiny Bill.

Hodie 2^a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for punishing Officers and Soldiers who shall mutiny, or desert Their Majesties Service, and for punishing false Musters, and for the Payment of Quarters."

ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Message from H. C. to return Lord Shannon's Bill.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Mr. Boyl and others:

To return the Bill, intituled, "An Act for settling the Estate of Francis Boyl, Lord Viscount Shannon in the Kingdom of Ireland;" to which they have agreed, without any Amendments.

L. Mohun's Petition.

ORDERED, That the Lord Mohun's Petition shall be considered on Friday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon; and all the Judges to attend.

E. Ranelaugh & al. versus Champante.

Upon reading the Petition of Richard Earl of Ranelaugh, Rachell Lady Viscountess Dowager of Faulkland, on the Behalf of herself and others, Executors of Sir James Hayes Knight, deceased, and of John Bence Esquire, Executor of John Bence deceased; shewing, "That, in the Life-time of Sir James Hayes, the Earl of Ranelaugh, John Bence, and Sir James Hayes, appealed to this House, from a Decree and several Orders in the Court of Exchequer, made on the Behalf of Sir John Champante; and, before the Determination thereof, the said Sir James Hayes died, whereby the Appeal abated; and praying the Revival thereof, by bringing in another Appeal, with proper Parties:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Petitioners may revive their Appeal, as desired, and bring in the same To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Heron, D. of Northumberland's Servant, arrested:

Upon Oath made, at the Bar of this House, "That Thomas Heron of Carbridge in the County of Northumberland, Gentleman, Bailiff to his Grace the Duke of Somersett, was arrested, at the Suit of John Watson of Westminster, Scrivener, within the Time of Privilege of Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Watts to be attached.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, his Deputy or Deputies, do forthwith attach the Body of the said John Watson, and bring him in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for his Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir Thomas Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them, and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other Their Majesties Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Bp. of Meath & al. to attend, about the State of Ireland.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Bishop of Meath, Colonel Henry Boyl, Sir Robert Sowthwell, William Poultney, Katherine Countess of Ardglass, Sir Henry Engoldsby, Colonel Engoldsby, and Mr. Anslow, do attend this House on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, to give an Account, as far as they know, of the present Condition and State of the Kingdom of Ireland.

E. of Gainesborough versus Countess Dowager of Gainesborough.

Upon hearing Counsel this Day, at the Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Baptist Earl of Gainesborough, an Infant under the Age of One and Twenty Years (by Dame Susanna Noell Widow, his Mother and Guardian) and John Noell Esquire, from an Order and Decree of the Court of Chancery, made the Eight and Twentieth Day of January last, in a Cause there depending, wherein the Respondent Katherine Countess Dowager of Gainesborough was Complainant, and the Petitioners Defendants; as also upon the Answer of the said Katherine Countess Dowager of Gainesborough put in thereunto:

After due Consideration had of what was offered by Counsel thereupon, it is ORDERED and Adjudged, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Petition and Appeal of Baptist Earl of Gainesborough and John Noeil Esquire shall be, and is hereby, dismissed this House; and that the Order and Decree therein complained of, made the Eight and Twentieth Day of January last shall be, and they are hereby, affirmed.
