Creditors, for Relief of, Bill.
Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, intituled, "An Act for Relief of Creditors."
ORDERED, That the said Bill be committed to a Committee of the whole House, on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon; and that the Judges do then attend.
L. Abergaveny takes the Oaths.
This Day George Lord Bergevenny took the Oaths, and made and subscribed the Declaration, pursuant to the Statutes.
House to be called.
ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the House shall be called over on Monday the Sixteenth Day of this Instant December, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon.
State of the Nation.
The House was adjourned during Pleasure, and put into a Committee upon the State of the Nation in general.
After some Time, the House was resumed.
And the Earl of Huntingdon reported, "That the Committee came to this Resolution; (videlicet,)
Lists of the Army and Navy to be laid before the House.
"To move the House, That an Address be made to His Majesty, that He will be pleased to give Order, that a List be laid before this House, of the Army in English Pay, with the Names of the General Officers, and all other Commission Officers; and of what Nation the Regiments and Officers are; and also a List of the Fleet, with the Condition and Disposition of it at this Time."
To which the House agreed.
"And also, That the House be moved, to order that the East India, Turkey, Africa, and Hamburgh Companies, and the West India Merchants, and any other Merchants, lay before this House an Account of the Losses they sustained the last Year, and from whence they did arise."
To which also the House agreed.
Lords Committees appointed to draw an Address, to be presented to His Majesty, "That He will be pleased to give Order, That a List be laid before this House, of the Army in English Pay, with the Names of the General Officers, and all other Commission Officers; and of what Nation the Regiments and Officers are; and also a List of the Fleet, with the Condition and Disposition of it at this Time;" and to report to the House.
Their Lordships, or any Five of them; to meet To-morrow, at Nine of the Clock in the Forenoon, in the Prince's Lodgings near the House of Peers; and to adjourn as they please.
Merchants Losses, and Occasion of them, to be laid before the House.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the East India, Turkey, Africa, and Hamburgh Merchants, and the West India and any other Merchants, do give this House, on Tuesday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon, an Account of their Losses sustained the last Year, and from whence they did arise.
Adjourn.
