Free Conference on Trials for Treason, Bill.
The Commons being come to the Free Conference, and the Managers Names read; the House was adjourned during Pleasure, and the Lords went to the Free Conference.
Which being ended, the House was resumed.
And the Duke of Bolton reported, "That the Lords had attended the Free Conference; and the Commons had delivered to them the Bill."
ORDERED, That on Thursday next, at Eleven of the Clock, this House shall resume the Debate of what was offered at the Free Conference.
Sir Robert Clayton & al. Examinations; to be reported.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Wednesday next, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon, shall be, and is hereby, appointed to receive the Report from the Committee appointed to examine Sir Robert Clayton (a Member of the House of Commons) and others; and that this House will then proceed upon the Debate of that Matter; and no other Business shall intervene.
Gardiner and Marriot to attend.
It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That Mr. Deputy Gardiner and Mr. Marriott do attend this House To-morrow, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.
