D. of South'ton versus Bp. Cov. et Litch. for Waiver of Privilege.

Upon reading the Answer of Thomas Lord Bishop of Coventry & Litchfeild, to the Petition of the Noble Charles Duke of South'ton::

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That it be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, to hear Counsel for his Grace the Duke of South'ton, and also for the Lord Bishop of Coventry & Litchfeild, "Whether the Lands or Estate in Question, mentioned in the Petition and Answer, be a Trust or no Trust;" and to report their Opinions thereupon to this House.

E. of Salisbury, to prevent cutting off the Entail of his Estate, Bill.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to prevent the cutting off the Entail of the Earl of Salisbury's Estate."

E. of Salisbury to be heard against it.

Upon the First Reading of the Bill, intituled, "An Act to prevent the cutting off the Entail of the Earl of Salisburye's Estate:"

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Earl of Salisbury may have a Copy of the said Bill; and shall be heard by his Counsel, against the said Bill, on Monday next, at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon.

Method of entering Judges Opinions.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That it be, and is hereby, referred to the Lords Committees for Privileges, to search Precedents, concerning the Manner of entering the Judges Opinions in the Journals, when given in the House, upon Questions put to them; and to report to the House.

Ld. Granvill committed to the Black Rod.

The Lord Granville was this Day brought to the House, by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House.

And being acquainted by the Speaker what the House was Yesterday informed concerning him and the Lord Keveton's quarrelling; and he being heard in his Place what he had to say to this Matter:

After Consideration had hereof, it is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the said Lord Granville do stand committed to the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, until further Order; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

Ld. Keveton to surrender to the Black Rod.

Whereas, upon Information to this House Yesterday, "That there was a Quarrel between the Lord Granvile and the Lord Keveton;" and the said Lords being both then ordered to be taken into Custody by the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House; and the Lord Granvile being accordingly apprehended by him:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Lord Keveton do forthwith render himself to the said Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod; and that this Order be affixed upon the Door of this House, to the End Notice may be taken thereof, and Obedience paid thereto by the said Lord Keveton.

Mr. Granville not to meddle in the Quarrel between them.

The Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, brought to the Bar Mr. George Granville.

Who was told, by the Speaker, "That the House was informed that he was concerned in a Quarrel between the Lord Granvill and the Lord Keveton; and the House laid their Injunction upon him, that he should not be concerned nor meddle any further in this Business, and discharged him."

Popish Heirs not to inherit.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Judges do draw a Bill, to enact, That no Popish Heir shall succeed to inherit any Estate in this Kingdom.

Forster et al. versus Bernard Munt, et al.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That this House will hear the Cause, (which was this Day appointed to be heard) wherein Anth. Forster and others are Plaintiffs, and John Bernard, Administrator to Humph. Munt, who was surviving Executor of John Markland, and the Children of Humphrey Munt, by Counsel on both Sides, at the Bar, To-morrow, at Eleven of the Clock in the Forenoon, the First Business.

E. of Suffolke, Privilege.

Upon Oath made at the Bar of this House, "That Symon Price and Edward Price did disturb the Right Honourable George Earl of Suffolke, a Peer of this Realm, in his quiet Possession of a Royal Mine, and caused the Ore there raised, and belonging to his Lordship, to be carried away, in Time of Privilege of Parliament, contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:"

Prices to be attached, for disturbing his Possession of a Mine.

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, do forthwith attach the Bodies of the said Symon Price and Edward Price, and bring them in safe Custody to the Bar of this House, to answer for the said Offence; and this shall be a sufficient Warrant on that Behalf.

To Sir Tho. Duppa, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod attending this House, his Deputy and Deputies, and every of them; and to all Mayors, Sheriffs, Bailiffs, Constables, and other Their Majesties Officers, to be aiding and assisting in the Execution hereof.

Chancery, &c. to reform Abuses in, Bill.
