Committee to examine the Journal.

ORDERED, That the Lords Committees for Perusal of the Journal Book have hereby Power and Authority, after the Prorogation of the Parliament, to peruse and perfect what remains unexamined of the Journal.

North'ton for rebuilding, Bill.

The Earl of North'ton reported, "That the Committee for the Bill for the better and more easy rebuilding the Town of North'ton have met, and considered of it; and do think it fit to pass as it is, without any Alterations or Amendments."

Then,

Hodie 3a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the better and more easy rebuilding the Town of Northampton."

The Question being put, "Whether this Bill shall pass for a Law?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

King present.

Then His Majesty sitting in His Royal Throne, adorned with His Regal Ornaments, commanded the Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod to signify to the House of Commons His Majesty's Pleasure, "That they come up presently, and attend Him, with their Speaker."

Who being come, His Majesty was pleased to give His Royal Assent to these Bills following.

The Clerk of the Crown read the Titles, and the Clerk of the Parliaments pronounced the Royal Assent to them severally.

Bill's passed.

1. "An Act for the better and more easy rebuilding the Town of North'ton."

To which the Royal Assent was pronounced in these Words,

"Le Roy le veult."

2. "An Act for the better enabling of Mary Countess Dowager of Warwick to perform the last Will and Testament of her deceased Husband, Charles late Earl of Warwick."

3. "An Act for vesting the Lands of Alexander Davies Gentleman, deceased, in Trustees, for Payment of his Debts."

To which Two Bills the Royal Assent was pronounced in these Words,

"Soit fait come il est desiré."

Then the Lord Keeper, by Command of His Majesty, said,

Parliament prorogued.

"My Lords; and you the Knights, Citizens, and Burgesses of the House of Commons;

"His Majesty's Royal Will and Pleasure is, That this Parliament be prorogued until the Fifteenth Day of February which shall be in the Year of our Lord 1676. And accordingly this Parliament is prorogued until the Fifteenth Day of February which shall be in the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy-six."
