PRAYERS.

Message from H. C. with Bills; that they have agreed to the St. Asaph Church, &c. Bill, Shalcross's, and Ld. Audley's Bills; and to remind the Lords of the Bill to prevent the Growth of Popery.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by the Lord Gorge and others; which consisted of these several Particulars following:

1. To let their Lordships know, that they have agreed to an Act, sent down from their Lordships, for the appropriating the Rectory of Llanhayder in Mochuant, in the Counties of Denbigh and Mountgomery, and of Skeviog, in the County of Flint, for Repairs of the Cathedral Church of St. Asaph, and the better Maintenance of the Choir there; and also for the uniting several Rectories sine Cura, and the Vicarages of the same Parishes, within the Diocese of St. Asaph aforesaid, without Amendment.

2. They have agreed to the Bill for settling divers Manors, Farms, and Lands, in the County of Hertford, now in the Possession of Francis Shalcrosse Esquire, and for making Provision for Younger Children, and Payment of Debts, without any Amendment.

3. They have agreed to the Act for restoring the Honour of Baron Awdley of Hely to James Lord Audley and others herein mentioned, and also for restoring them in Blood, with some Amendments, to which their Lordships Concurrence is desired.

4. The Commons desire their Lordships Concurrence in Two Bills:

1. "An Act to supply an Omission in the Settlement of the Estate of Sir Trevor Williams Baroner, made upon the Marriage of his Eldest Son, and to enable his Eldest Son to make a Jointure to a Second Wife.

2. "An Act for vesting the Rectory of Westerham, in the County of Kent, in Trustees, to be sold, for Payment of the Debts of Edward Gresham Esquire."

5. To put their Lordships in Mind of the Bill remaining in this House, intituled, "An Act for suppressing the Growth of Popery."

E. of Peterborough takes the Oaths.

This Day the Earl of Peterborough took the Oaths of Supremacy and Allegiance, and subscribed the Declaration against Transubstantiation, pursuant to the Act for preventing the Dangers which may happen from Popish Recusants. The Witnesses were sworn, and examined by the Lord Chancellor, as to the Truth of the Certificates concerning his Lordship's receiving the Sacrament of the LORD'S Supper.

King's Answer concerning the Conditions of Peace sent to Paris, and the Answer to them.

The Lord Treasurer reported, "That himself and the other Lords with the White Staves have attended His Majesty, with the humble Desire of this House, for imparting to them the Conditions of Peace sent by the Earl of Feversham to Paris, and what Answer the Most Christian King gave thereunto. His Majesty is pleased to give this Answer: That His Majesty hath caused the Conditions of Peace contained in the Earl of Feversham's Instructions to be compared with the Treaty before this House, and finds them to be the same; and therefore supposeth it needless to send them again. And for Answer to them, His Majesty received none from the French Ambassador, but was told by him in ordinary Discourse, That the Answer the Earl of Feversham would bring, would be a Negative: And at the Earl of Feversham's Return, he informed His Majesty, That the Most Christian King would not consent to them."
