Brend's Bill.

Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable Francis Brend Esquire, the surviving Son and Issue Male of Sir Mathew Brend Knight, deceased, to sell certain Lands, for the raising of Three Thousand Pounds, for the Portions of Frances and Elizabeth Brend, the Daughters of Thomas Brend Esquire, deceased, late Elder Brother of the said Francis Brend."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to the same Committee as Mr. Thynne's Bill is.

Deputy Steward of Westminster to punish the High Constable, for not keeping the Streets clear leading to this House.

The Deputy Steward of the City of Westminster was called in, to give the House an Account, why he hath not put the Order of this House, concerning clearing the Streets to the Parliament from empty Hackney Coaches, Carts, and Drays, into Execution.

He answered, "That he sent the Order to one Pryor, the High Constable of Westminster, to take Care to see the Order executed."

Hereupon the House enjoined the said Deputy Steward to put some Punishment upon the said High Constable for his Neglect herein, and to give this House Account thereof To-morrow: And the said Deputy Steward was admonished to take Care the said Order be better executed for the future.

Adjourn.
