Poor Prisoners Petition.
Upon reading the Petition of the poor Prisoners for Debt about the City of London; complaining of their Misery in Prison:
It is ORDERED, That this Petition be referred to a Committee, to consider what Way may be found out for Relief of poor Prisoners, and report the same to the House:
Their Lordships, or any Five or more of them; to meet on Wednesday next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings; and have Power to adjourn as they shall think fit.
Poor of London, for Discovery of Frauds in Distribution of Charities, Bill.
ORDERED, That the Bill for the Discovery of such as have defrauded the Poor of the City of London of the Monies given for their Relief at the Times of the late Plague and Fire, and for Recovery of the Arrears thereof, is committed to these Lords following:
Their Lordships, or any Five; to meet on Thursday next, at Three of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Prince's Lodgings; and to receive any Informations as may concern this Business, either from Sir John Laurance Alderman of London, or any others.
