Upon Report of the Earl of Pembrooke from the Committee for Petitions, and reading an Information of Nathaniell Reading, charging William Jarvais of speaking treasonable Words against His Majesty:
It is ORDERED, That this Business be recommended to the next Justices of Peace, to examine thoroughly the whole Business, and proceed against the said William Jarvais according to Law: And the Sheriff of the County is to assist the said Justices, to prevent all Riots and Commotions, and the securing the Person of the said Jarvais.

E. of Derby's Order.
ORDERED, That the Earl of Derby shall have the like Order of this House, for recovering of his Goods, &c. that have been taken from him, as the Marquis of Winton hath.
Preacher at the Thanks giving thanked.
ORDERED, That Mr. Hodges have the Thanks of this House given him, for preaching Yesterday before the Lords, in the Abbey, at the Day of Thanksgiving; and is desired to print his said Sermon.
Votes for restoring the Queen to the Possession of her Lands, &c.
"Resolved, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled,
"That the Queen's Majesty be forthwith restored to the Possession of the several Houses, Manors, and Lands after mentioned, they being Parcels of Her Majesty's Jointure, and purchased by Persons whose Estates are liable to Forfeiture; that is to say,
"Resolved, by the Lords and Commons assembled in Parliament,
"That the Queen's Majesty be likewise restored to the Possession of Somersett House and Greenwich, which are unsold.
"Resolved, &c.
"That what Monies, for Rent, or any other Payment, due out of the aforesaid Lands, do now remain in the Hands of the Tenant, or of any other Person that hath received such Monies to the Purchasers Use, being not paid over to the Purchasers, the Tenant, or such other as hath received it, shall pay it unto such Person as shall be appointed to receive it, for Her Majesty's Use."
Order for the E. of Derby to have Leave to search for his Goods, &c. taken away during the late Troubles.
Upon Information given this Day to the House, That Mr. Holt, of The Bridge, in the County of Lancaster, and others, in and about Boulton, in the said County, do detain divers Goods, Household Stuff, Writings, and Plate, belonging to the Earl of Derby, which were taken from Latham House, and other Places belonging to the said Earl, since these unhappy Times:"
It is ORDERED, That the said Earl of Derby shall have Liberty, by his Servants and Agents, to make diligent Search, for any of his said Goods aforementioned, in the Dwelling-house or other Places belonging to the said Mr. Holte, and elsewhere: And, that the said Goods may be the better discovered and found out, it is further ORDERED, That the said Parties thus employed (upon Resistance made) may break open, in the Day-time, with a lawful Officer, any Door, Trunk, Chest, or Box, that shall not be opened in Obedience to this Order; and such Goods of the said Earl as shall be thus found, to take, bear, and carry away, for his Lordship's Use; any Thing to the contrary in any Wise notwithstanding.
Order for Jarvis to be examined, concerning treasonable Words, &c.
Upon Report made this Day to the House, "That treasonable Words were spoken against His Majesty, by Wm. Jarvis, of Belton, in the County of Lyncolne; and that others of the said Town, mentioned in Affidavits annexed to a Petition exhibited to the Lords in Parliament, spake contemptuous Words against the King, the Lords, and the Laws of this Kingdom:"
It is ORDERED, &c. That the whole Business abovementioned, with the Contents of the Petition, be, and is hereby, referred to the next Justices of Peace, to examine and consider thereof, and to proceed therein according to Law: And it is further ORDERED, That the Sheriff of the said County of Lyncolne, and other the King's lawful Ministers and Officers, shall from Time to Time be aiding and assisting, for the due Execution of this Order, and securing of the aforesaid Persons, as Occasion shall require: And all whom it doth or may concern are to yield their Obedience hereunto, as they will answer the contrary at their Perils.
