The Lord Chief Justice of the Common Pleas sat Speaker this Day.

Downes and Spring versus Hungate.

This Day the Counsel on both Sides were heard, at this Bar, upon the Petition and Appeal of Francis Downes and Edmond Spring, against Henry Hungate.

And, after some Debate thereof,

The Question being put, "Whether the further Debate of this Business shall be adjourned until To-morrow Morning?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Committee to consider of the Highways, &c. and Poor Bills.

ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, That the Committee appointed by this House (on the 29th Day of March last) to consider of Two Acts of Parliament, made in the First Session of this Parliament, one concerning the Poor, and the other concerning the Streets and Hackney Coaches, be, and is hereby, revived; whose Lordships are to peruse and examine the said Acts, and, if there be Defect in either of them, Report thereof is to be made unto the House; or otherwise (if their Lordships please) to send to the Justices of the Peace, to attend them therein, or to enjoin them to cause the said Acts to be put into due Execution; and that such Judges as the Lords Committees shall from Time to Time send for, are to assist their Lordships in the Examination of the said Acts.

Their Lordships, or any Five of them, are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Nine of the Clock, in the Prince's Lodgings; and to adjourn themselves from Time to Time, as they shall please.

Adjourn.
