The House heard the Counsel between Sir Henry Fredericke Thynne and Sir James Thynne, at the Bar, upon the whole Matter of the Bill depending in this House; but broke off without finishing the Evidence.
Message from H. C. with a Bill; and to remind the Lords of Four Bills formerly brought up.
A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Serjeant Charlton; who brought up a Bill passed that House, intituled, "An Act for the granting unto the King's Majesty Twelve Hundred and Threescore Thousand Pounds, to be assessed and levied by an Assessment of Three Score and Ten Thousand Pounds by the Month, for Eighteen Months;" wherein their Lordships Concurrence is desired.
2. To put their Lordships in Mind of Four Bills formerly brought up, and are now depending in this House; videlicet, the Bill concerning Corporations; the Bill for Uniformity; the Bill concerning Quakers; and the Bill concerning Printing.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for the granting to the King's Majesty Twelve Hundred and Three Score Thousand Pounds, to be assessed and levied by an Assessment of Seventy Thousand Pounds by the Month, for Eighteen Months."
Bill to regulate Corporations.
ORDERED, That the First Business taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning shall be the Business concerning Corporations.

ORDERED, That on Thursday the 9th of January next, this House will further hear the Cause of Sir Henry Fredericke Thynne, by Counsel, at this Bar, upon the whole Merits of the Cause as it stands stated in the Bill depending before their Lordships; and Sir James Thynne may then attend, with his Counsel and Witnesses, if he please.
E. of Derby's Bill:
ORDERED, That the Cause between the Earl of Derby and the Purchasers shall be heard, at this Bar, by their Counsel on both Sides, on Friday the Tenth of January next, upon the whole Merits of the Cause as it stands stated in the Bill depending before their Lordships; at which Time all Parties, with their Witnesses, are to attend the said Hearing accordingly.
Order for Witnesses concerning it.
ORDERED, That Symon Fincham, Henry Sealy, Mr. Holt, Andrew Edwards, Mr. Edward Greene, Mr. James Wainwright, Mr. Gold, Mr. Griffith Bodurda, Mrs. Swetnam, and Edward Thorne, shall appear, at this Bar, on Friday the Tenth of January next, at Nine of the Clock in the Morning, to give in their Testimonies on Behalf of the Purchasers in a Cause depending before the Lords in Parliament between them and the Earl of Derby, to be heard before their Lordships at that Time: And herein they nor any of them may fail, as they will answer the contrary to this House.
Private Causes put off.
ORDERED, That no Private Cause shall be heard, at this Bar, between the Date hereof and the 25th of December Instant; any former Order of this House notwithstanding.
