Hodie 2a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act to enable the King's Majesty to make Leases, Grants, and Copies, of Offices, Lands, Tenements, and Hereditaments, Parcel of His Highness' Dutchy of Cornwall, or annexed to the same; and for Confirmation of Grants or Leases already made."

ORDERED, That the Consideration of this Bill is committed to these Lords following; who are to take particular Consideration of the Time mentioned for the Continuance of the said Bill:

Bp. of Exon's Privilege, versus Yard.

The Lord Viscount Say & Scale reported, "That the Committee for Privileges have examined the Complaint of the Lord Bishop of Exon, referred to them from this House; and their Lordships are of Opinion, That the Privileges of this House have been broken, in the Person of the said Lord Bishop of Exon, by Gilb't Yard; and that therefore such Submission and Satisfaction ought to be forthwith made, by the said Gilb't Yard, unto this House and the said Lord Bishop of Exon, as in Cases of the like Contempts hath been usual."

Upon this, the said Gilb't Yard was brought to this Bar; and being charged with, and reprehended for the said Offence, he made his humble Submission to this House, and confessed he had done more in this Business than he ought to have done, for which he was sorry.

Bills to make the Rivers Hitching, Mole, &c. navigable.

Hodie 1a vice lecta est Billa, "An Act for making navigable, or otherwise passable, for Barges and other Vessels, the Rivers of Itchin, Mole, and other Rivers, and from Winchester, Bishops Waltham, Rygate, and other Places, some falling into the Sea, by or near South'ton or elsewhere, others into The Thames, and so to London."

Message from thence, with Bills.

A Message was brought from the House of Commons, by Sir John Earnly and others; who brought up Two Bills passed the House of Commons, whereto their Lordships Concurrence is desired:

1. "An Act for the settling of several Manors, Lands, and Tenements, of Sir Jacob Astley, lying in the Counties of Norfolke and Warwicke."

2. "An Act to enable Sir Edward Hungerford, Knight of the Bath, to sell certain Lands, in the County of Devon."

ORDERED, That the Bishop of St. Asaph and the Lord Vaughan are added to the Committee for Mr. Juckes' Bill; and the Lord Bruce is added to the Committee of Mr. Sandes' Bill.

L. Clifford's Privilege. Carliles released.

Whereas John Carlile and Francis Carlile stand committed to the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, for shutting up the Way, and barring the Passage for Coaches, to the Dwelling-house of the Lord Clifford, whereof he was in Possession, during the Sitting of this present Session of Parliament, which was done contrary to the Privilege of Parliament:

It is ORDERED, by the Lords Spiritual and Temporal in Parliament assembled, upon the Submission of the said John and Francis Carlile this Day at the Bar, where they received the Reprehension of the House for their said Offence, and at the Instance of the Lord Clifford on their Behalfs, That the said John Carlile and Francis Carlile be discharged from their present Restraint, paying their Fees: And this to be a sufficient Warrant in that Behalf.
