Merchant Strangers Petition, about the Admiralty Jurisdiction.

Ordered, That the Petition of the Merchant Strangers, concerning the Court of Admiralty, be committed to the Lords that are of the Committee for the Admiralty; and to meet on Monday Morning next.

North's Order, for Timber on Mims Common.

Upon reading the Petition of Roger North Esquire; "That whereas he obtained an Order of this House, of the 22th January, 1644, for the taking of all the Woods and Trees in Mims Comon, in Com. Hertford; but he hath not, by reason of Interruptions by Mr. Conisby, been able to receive any Fruit of the said Order:"

It is Ordered, That this House confirms the said Order of this House, of the 22 Jan. 1644; and that the Sheriff do see the said Order obeyed, and give Assistance to the Petitioner, for preventing all Breaches and Disturbance of the said Order.

Colbeck, E. of Dorset's Servant, Privilege.

Upon Information to this House, "That Richard Colebecke, a menial Servant of the Earl of Dorsett, is arrested, by one Porter, a Serjeant of The Counter, at the Suit of one Mr. Baker;" and the said Earl desiring his Privilege herein:

It is Ordered, That the said Porter shall be sent for, to answer the same; and that the said Richard Colebecke shall be forthwith released from the said Arrest.

Witnesses to be examined, about the Information from the City, of the Design of the Army against it.

Ordered, That these Lords following are appointed (fn. 1) to join with a proportionable Number of the House of Commons, to send for such Persons as they shall think fit, to examine the Information received from the City of London Yesterday; and to report the Matter of Fact to this House:

Any Two to meet.

Desire of the City, for Gen. Skippon to command their Forces.

The House was adjourned into a Committee of the whole House, to debate the Desire of the Petition of the City of London Yesterday, for Major General Skippon, Major General of all the Forces within the late Line of Communication.

The House being resumed;

And the Question being put, "Whether the Consideration of this Business concerning Major General Skippon shall be deferred till another Time?"

It was Resolved in the Affirmative.

Message to the H. C. for Committees to meet about it.

A Message was sent to the House of Commons, by Dr. Bennett and Mr. Eltonheade:

1. To let them know, that this House hath nominated a Committee, to * examine the Information John Everard presented Yesterday from the City of London; and desire that they would add a proportionable Number of their House, to join with the Lords therein.

Impeached Aldermen to put in their Answers.

Ordered, That Sir John Gayer Knight, Alderman Adam, Alderman Langham, and Alderman Bunce, shall put in their several and respective Answers, in Writing, to this House, to their several respective Impeachments of High Treason, and other High Crimes and Misdemeanors against them, this Day Sevennight.

Ld. Roberts, Leave to be absent.

Ordered, That, after Twenty Days, the Lord Robertes shall have Leave to go into Cornwall, or any other Parts of this Kingdom, to follow his own Affairs there for Six Months, after the Expiration of Twenty Days aforesaid.
