Toueton. The manor, held of the earl of Lancaster, as of the honour of Pontefract, then in the said earl’s hand, by service of a third part of a knight’s fee. Alice, late the wife of William de Stoppeham, grandfather of the said William de Stoppeham, holds in dower a third part of the said manor.
Weston. The manor was held by ‘the said William’ (the grandfather) for life ‘jointly with Alice late the wife of William de Stoppeham grandfather of the said William de Stoppeham’ to them and the heirs of their bodies, which Alice still survives and holds it. The manor is held of John Bygot, lord of Seteryngton, by service of rendering to him and his heirs 30s. yearly.

Two parts of two parts of the manor (extent given), held of Roger de Clifford by service of rendering 40d. yearly to the castle of Appelby for cornage; which two parts, after the death of the said Roger, came into the hand of the king, and are still there, by reason of the minority of the said John’s heir.
The said two parts of two parts rendered 6d. yearly to the lord of the manor of Dufton, for having a water-course to the mill of Knok, when that mill was in tenure. He held nothing of any other.

The manor was in the seisin of one Adam Turpp, who gave it, by the king’s licence, to the said Robert and Beatrice, to hold to them and the heirs of their bodies. She held nothing of any other.
Joan, aged 16 years and more, and Juliana, aged 14 years and 2 months, daughters of the said Robert and Beatrice, are her next heirs.

Schadewell. 1/2a. land held jointly by the said Henry and Sarra his wife, who still survives, of the grant of Edmund Spigurnel, knight, to them and the heirs and assigns of the said Henry, of William Fyton by service of 1d. yearly.

Clopham. The manor was sometime parted into five parts, and the said Henry with Sarra his wife held two parts, to them and their heirs begotten between them, by fine levied in the king’s court; and on the day he died the said Henry held, with his said wife, the residue of the said manor, to them and the heirs of the said Henry, by divers fines and enfeoffments, except 4a. land and 2a. wood of which he was seised in his demesne as of fee, and except five messuages and 2 1/4 virgates of land, which William de Brom holds in the same manor in fee. All held in chief of the king, as of the honour of Wallingford, and, with the exception of the aforesaid five messuages and land, held by service of two parts of a knight’s fee, except a moiety of a quarter of a knight’s fee, and doing suit at the court of Wallingford every month.
Bromham. 2a. meadow, held with the said Sarra and the heirs of the said Henry, of William Passelewe of Bromham, by service of a rose at the feast of St. John the Baptist.

Pyghtlesthorn [or Peytulnestharth]. A water-mill held of the king at fee farm rendering 20s. yearly at the exchequer; a cottage held of John de Erle [or Erlee] by service of 6d. yearly; and a cottage held of John Neyrnuyt by service of 6d. yearly.
Loudham [or Loutham]. A messuage, 110a. land, and 24s. rent, held with Thomas Spigurnel [his son], to them and to the heirs of the said Thomas, of John de Wolverton [or Wylmerton], by service of 4d. yearly; a messuage, 100a. land and 2a. wood, held of the said John de Wolverton, by the said service; and 4a. of grove, 3a. heath, and a cottage, held with the said Thomas, of the earl of Hereford by service of a clovegillyflower yearly.
La Rouwtwode. A messuage, three cottages and lands (extent given), held of Matthew la Vache by service of 12s. and four capons, and suit of court.

A messuage and lands (extent given), including three ‘smalidoles’ of meadow, and 4d. rent, held of Henry de Fortho by service of 12d. yearly, and by doing suit of court every three weeks at the court of the said Henry de Fortho, and suit in the same manner at the hundred of Cleilbie every three weeks.
Couesgrave and Pokisle. The site of the manor of Couesgrave, ten messuages, land, wood, and rent (extent given), held by the said Henry and Sarra his wife, jointly enfeoffed by fine levied in the king’s court, of the heir of the earl of Warwick, a minor and in the king’s wardship, as of the manor of Hampslape, by service of an eighth part of a knight’s fee, and by rendering 10s. yearly at the said manor and doing suit every three weeks at the said heir’s court of the said manor of Hampslape; and six messuages, 4 virgates of land, and 10a. meadow, held by the said Henry and Sarra, by the same fine, to them and the heirs of their bodies, of Thomas de Leukenore, by service of an eighth part of a knight’s fee, and by rendering 3s. 4d. yearly.

Leysdon in the Isle of Shepeye. Lands and rents (extent given), including free tenants in Dover rendering 2s. yearly, held of the king in chief, by service of a third part of a knight’s fee, and by rendering 52s. 6d. yearly for the ward of the castle of Dover, as well for the said tenements, as for other lands and tenements in the county of Oxford, viz.—in Coges, Somerton, and Feringford. The said tenements are charged with 12d. yearly for the ferry of Tremhuth, and 6d. yearly to the heirs of Stephen Pone for two acres of the said land lying at Mergare.

Alice, late the wife of Richard le Alblaster, mother of the said Walter, holds in dower, of the inheritance of the said Walter, a toft and four bovates and 2 1/2 acres of land in North Geveldale, and a third part of a bovate of land in Est Geveldale.
Ralph his son, aged 5 years, is his next heir.
