A messuage, 100a. arable, 20a. meadow, pasture for 200 sheep, and 22s. rent, held of the king in chief, but about Whitsunday last he gave the same to John de Teneleby and Alice his wife for their lives, doing for him and his heirs one suit at the queen's hundred (court) of Berdestapele, and 2s. there for wardpenny (wardpan).
Chaldewelle, Est Tyllebery and Kelwedonne. 47s. 1d. rent of assize, and a wood in the forest, held of the king in chief; which lands and tenements he held in the name of serjeanty of the king's napery, for which he rendered yearly by the hands of the sheriff of Essex 10s. at the exchequer.
West Thorrokke. A messuage, 160a. arable, 4a. meadow, pasture for 20 cows and 1 bull, 4 horses, 4 oxen and 240 sheep, 22s. 10½d. rent of assize, and a windmill, held of Bartholomew de Briensun as free socage, rendering 2 marks yearly and doing suit of court.

Sum of all the lands of the said Robert, excepting the manors of Toleshunt and Blunteshal, whereof Eva, late his wife, was enfeoffed as dower, 46l. 19s. 2d. Dower 15l. 13s. 0½d.

Mandate to W. de Odiham and A. de Berton marvelling that they have returned the extents sent to them without making assignment of dower to Lady Eva, the king's cousin, pretending that it was not fully evident to them what the king wished, and commanding that not what pleases him, but what is in accordance with right by these extents should be done. They need not write about the manors of Toleshunte and Blunteshal, the king having formerly commanded the manor of Toleshunte to be delivered to her. Dated 17 Sept.
Similar mandate. The king sends the extents made of the lands &c. of the said Robert, commanding them to assign dower accordingly to Eva late his wife, observing that the manor of Wrabenes is held at fee farm of the abbot of St. Edmund, and doing therein according to the great charter and custom. The manor of Toleshunt, of which the king has enfeoffed her, is to be wholly delivered to her. Dated 16 of the Kalends of October.

Three parts of a moiety of the manor (extent given), including pannage in the forest of Braden, held of the king in chief for the keeping of the forest of Bradene, of which he was keeper by succession of inheritance, and by service of one esquire for the king's army with a lance, iron cap and hauberk, himself, his co-heirs and parcenars for the said manor.
Somerford. The manor (extent given) held of the king in chief by service of 1 knight's fee.
Aston. The manor (extent given) held of the abbot of Teukesburi, by service of 3s. rent, and the abbot held of the earl of Gloucester, and he of the king in chief.
Peritone. The manor (extent given) held of the abbot of Malmesburi, by service of ¼ and ½ of ¼ knight's fee, and the abbot held of the king in chief.

Doddeford. The manor (extent given) held of Sir Edmund, earl of Leicester, by service of 4½ knights' fees, and worth 26l. 18s. 4½d., of which 26s. 8d. are paid yearly to the said earl for view of frankpledge, and to Hugh le Faukoner 17s., which William de Kaynes, father of the said Robert, gave to him and his heirs for ever to be received from the villeins.

Donegheton. The manor (extent given), including pastures on the hill, in Colhok and La Frithe, held in dower of the inheritance of the heir of Henry de Percy, of the fee of the heirs of John son of Alan, which dower king Henry assigned to her after her husband's death. Roger la Zusch holds 5 knights' fees of the said manor by knight's service. The said Ellen owed no service to the king.
John son of Henry de Percy, aged 11, is next heir of this manor, and is in the wardship of queen Eleanor the king's mother.

He held no lands &c. in the county, except 100l. land by reason of the dower of Lady Ida his wife, sometime the wife of Roger Bertram, in the towns of Mitford and Felton. He had lands &c. in the bishopric of Durham, service unknown, because neither the sheriff nor the king's bailiffs intrude into the bishopric.
Ranulph, son of Robert de Nevill the younger, aged 20 on the day of St. Luke, 10 Edw. I., is his next heir.

Moneketon. The manor (extent given), whence 20s. yearly ought to be rendered for the sustenance of a chaplain celebrating divine service in the chapel of St. Mary Magdalen in Moneketon, held of Hugh de Curteney in free socage.

Greywell by Odiham. The manor held in socage of the king in chief by service of 4l. yearly, and he used to find ten men for a day yearly in autumn to reap the king's corn, and did suit at the king's hundred (court) of Odiham; and the men of Greywell ought to guard the prisoners imprisoned at Odiham every third night.
