First occ. as can., being sent to Scotland to collect alms for new cath., Dec. 1219 (RSO II 12). Occ. this preb. Oct. 1226 × Feb. 1227 (app. 1). Fined for non-residence Feb. 1227 (RSO II 77). Absent in Scotland 9 Sept. 1228 (ibid. p. 104). Last occ. 19 Oct. 1233 (Sar. Chs. p. 230).
Albert of Lavagna (fn. 2)
Occ. this preb. as 'Albertus' May-June 1284 (app. 2) and occ. as can. 'M. Albertinus de Lavania' 8 Apr. 1297 (CPR 1292-1301 p. 275). To be identified with Albert de Lavania (Fieschi), preb. of Lincoln by 27 July 1267, to d. 11 May 1308 (1 Fasti III 73), and preb. of York 1289-93 (York Minster Fasti II 24).
Next identified preb. is M. William de Bosco, (fn. 3) who was coll. to chancellorship 23 Nov. 1309 (2 Fasti III 17). Presum. held this preb., because protested over coll. of Robert of Winchcombe, and res. by 25 Apr. 1311, presum. on becoming chanc. (Reg. Gandavo II 767; 2 Fasti III 75).
