Prayers.

Fire of London, &c.

ORDERED, That the Committee to inquire after the Causes of the Fire, and Insolency of Papists, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees which were discontinued, be revived; and do sit this Afternoon, in the Places formerly appointed.

Southampton Parishes.

An ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, for uniting Parishes, and raising a Maintenance for Ministers, in the Town of Southampton, was read.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time on Monday next.

Poyntz's Estate.

Mr. Steward reports from the Committee to which the Bill for settling of the Manor of Iron Acton on Sir John Poyntz was committed, one Amendment agreed to be made to the Bill: Which he read; and the same, being delivered in at the Clerk's Table, and twice read, was, on the Question, agreed.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Seamen and Naval Stores.

A Bill to prevent the Disturbances of Seamen, and others, and to preserve the Stores belonging to his Majesty's Navy Royal, was read.

Ordered, That this Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Defaulters at Call of the House.

Resolved, &c. That all such Members Defaulters whose Excuses shall not be allowed, be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms.

The House then proceeded to the Calling-over the Members who made Default in Attendance. And, some Progress being made therein;-

Message to attend the King.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Eyton Usher of the Black Rod;

Mr. Speaker,

The King commands this honourable House to attend Him, forthwith, in the House of Peers.

And accordingly Mr. Speaker, with the House, went up to attend his Majesty.

Mr. Speaker acquaints the House with the Reasons delivered by his Majesty for hasting the Supply; and for the Members going into the Country to put the Poll Bill in Execution; and that his Majesty had declared, There should be a Prorogation on Monday Sevennight next.

Ordered, That this House do, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock, positively, setting all other Business aside, proceed on the Bill for the monthly Assessment.

Impeachment of Ld. Mordant.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir John Cole and Mr. Proctor;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have commanded us to acquaint you, That the Lord Mordant had put in his Answer, in Writing, to the Articles of Impeachment sent up against him, from this House, to the Lords; and the Lords had sent a Copy of his Answer to this House: Which was delivered at the Clerk's Table.

Goodrick, Sir John Talbott, Sir Thomas Lee, Sir Robert Carr, Mr. Prynn, Mr. Seymour, Sir John Goodrick, Sir Solom. Swale, Sir Edw. Seymour, Mr. Norden, Mr. Swynfen, or any Three of them, to examine, What Charges the Serjeant hath been at in sending for the Members Defaulters; and who are come, and who are not; and report it, with their Opinions, What they think fit to be done therein as to Charges, and Recompence for Fees: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber.
