Prayers.

Ld. Norris' Estate.

A DEBATE being upon the Bill concerning the Lord Norris, That the Committee had sent Summons into Ireland to Colonel Cooke; but he being not come over, although he be only a Person named in Trust, the Committee did forbear to proceed on the Bill, without Leave of the House.

Resolved, &c. That the Committee to which the Bill concerning the Lord Norris was committed, do proceed on the Bill: And that the Committee be revived; and do sit this Afternoon at Two of the Clock.

Members Attendance.

Ordered, That the Bill to compel the Attendance of Members on the Service of the House be read this Day, before the House do rise.

Supply Bill.

The House then resolved into a Committee of the Whole House, to proceed on the Bill for the Monthly Assessment.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Steward took the Chair of the Committee.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Steward reports, That the Committee had made some further Progress in the Bill of Assessment; and humbly moved, That the House would nominate a Committee to consider of the Proviso now read, and debated at the Committee, for ascertaining some Part of the Money to be raised by the Bill for the effectual Payment of the Navy, Officers, and Seamen.

And the said Proviso being twice read;

Resolved, &c. That the said Proviso be committed to Sir George Downing, Sir Thomas Littleton, Mr. Garraway, Sir Thomas Gower, Mr. Buscawen, Mr. Waller, Mr. Steward, Sir Solom. Swale, Sir Thomas Clifford, Mr. Seymour, Sir Richard Temple, Sir Robert Howard, Sir Wm. Coventry, Sir Fran. Goodrick, Sir John Duncombe, Mr. Hen. Coventry, Sir Robert Carr, Colonel Williams, Sir Robert Atkins, Mr. Thomas Coventry, Mr. Sandys, Sir Wm. Thompson, Sir Phillip Warwick, Sir Robert Brookes, Sir Thom. Clerges, Sir Edw. Wallpoole, Sir Wm. Lowther, Lord Allington, Colonel Birch, Mr. Coleman, Lord Cornbury, Mr. Pryn, Sir Thom. Lee, Sir Robert Long, Mr. Whorwood, Sir Thom. Higgons, Sir John Lowther; or any Five of them: And they are to prepare and fit the same; or to consider of any other Expedient for making the same effectual for the Encouragement of Seamen: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Four of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber: And have Power to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Supply Bill.

Resolved, &c. That, when the Proviso, committed, to be added to the Bill of Assessment, shall be ready to be reported, all other Business be laid aside for the Hearing thereof.

Resolved, &c. That the Bills concerning Mr. Scawen and Sir John Poyntz, and all other Bills appointed to be read this Day, be read on Monday Morning; unless the Report of the Proviso shall be then ready.

Impeachment of Ld. Mordant.

Resolved, &c. That the Lord Mordant's Answer to the Articles of Impeachment from this House be read on Monday Morning, the First Business.

Fire of London.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee appointed to inquire into the Causes of the late Fire, be heard on Tuesday Morning next.
