Prayers.

Preventing the Plague.

RESOLVED, &c. That a Committee be appointed to inspect the Act of primo Jacobi, concerning the Plague; and to prepare and bring in an Act to supply the Defects of that Act; and to provide Remedies to prevent the Spreading of the Contagion: And that it be referred to Sir Lancelott Lake, Sir Robert Atkins, Sir Wm. Lowther, Mr. Yorke, Mr. Milward, Mr. Heath, Sir Tho. Allen, Sir Tho. Dolman, Mr. Kendall, Sir Tho. Littleton, Mr. Chowne, Mr. Crouch, Sir John Denham, or any Five of them: And they are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Divinity School: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records.

Resolved, &c. That this Committee do meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the * School; and every Tuesdays and Thursdays at Two of the Clock, in the Place before-mentioned: And do take into Consideration all such Matters as shall or may come in Question, touching Returns, Elections, and Privileges; and to proceed upon double Returns in the first Place; and report their Proceedings to the House. And all Persons that will question double Returns already made, are to do it in Fourteen Days next; and so in Fourteen Days after any new Return shall be brought in. And the Committee is to have Power to receive Petitions; and to send for Witnesses, Papers, and Records, for their Information; and to make Report of any Matter which may concern Breach of Privilege. And all Members that are returned for Two or more Places, are to make their Elections by This-day-three-weeks, for which of the Places they will serve; provided there be no Question upon the Return for the Place. And if any thing shall come in Question, touching the Return, or Matter of Privilege, of any Member of this Committee, such Member is to withdraw from the Committee, during the Time the Matter which concerns himself is in Debate.

Grand Committees.

Ordered, That the Grand Committee for Religion do sit every Monday at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the House.

Ordered, That the Grand Committee for Grievances do sit every Wednesday in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the House.

Ordered, That the Grand Committee for Trade do sit every Friday in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the House.

Ordered, That the Grand Committee for Courts of Justice do sit every Saturday in the Afternoon at Two of the Clock, in the House.

Supply.

The House then took into Debate the Matter of his Majesty's Speech, and Supply.

Resolved, &c. That a present additional Supply shall be given to his Majesty, suitable to his Occasions.

Resolved, &c. That the Proportion of the King's Supply shall be named here in the House.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds shall be given to his Majesty, for his present Supply.

Resolved, &c. That the Sum of Twelve hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds, for his Majesty's Supply, shall be raised by a proportionable Addition to the monthly Assessment, to begin at Christmas next.

Ordered, That Mr. Solicitor General do forthwith prepare and bring in a Bill, in parsuance of the Votes for his Majesty's Supply.

Lords agree to Votes.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir William Childe and Sir Nat. Hobart;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have commanded us to acquaint you, That they do concur in the Two Votes conceived by this House: And have resolved to go in a full Body; and desire that this House would accompany them, to present the Votes to his Majesty: And, to that End, will send to know his Majesty's Pleasure, When he will be attended; and will give Notice thereof to this House.
