Seamen and Naval Stores.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Mundeford Brampston and Sir Nathaniell Hobart;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have returned you a Bill, intituled, An Act for preventing Disturbances of Seamen, and others, and to preserve the Stores belonging to his Majesty's Navy Royal; with some Alterations, and Amendments: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Which Amendments and Alterations, being read, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be returned back to the Lords.

Hearth Money.

And then the House resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed on the Bill concerning Hearth Money.

Mr. Speaker again took the Chair.

Sir Robert Atkins reports, That the Committee had proceeded in the Bill; and finished the same, with some Amendments: Wherein he is ready to make Report to the House.

The Question being put, That the Report of the said Amendments be now made to the House;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Sir Robert Atkins accordingly reports, The Amendments and Alterations to the said Bill: Which he read, in his Place; and after delivered in at the Clerk's Table: And . . . . twice read.

The several Amendments, to the Amendment in the Sixteenth Line of the * Folio, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, That the Clause, after the Word, "Exchequer," in the Sixteenth Line of the Third Folio, ending with these Words, "and all Arrears of the same," in the * Line of the same Folio, do stand: And, as to the rest of the Amendments, the House agreed with the Committee.

The rest of the Amendments, being severally put, were, upon the Question, severally agreed to.

Resolved, That the said Bill, with the Amendments agreed to, be ingrossed.

Resolved, That Leave be given for bringing in a Clause for Punishment of the Officer, or his Deputy, in case of Injury done by him to any Person or Persons.

Resolved, That Leave be given to bring in a Clause, for securing the Allowance, appointed to be made by the former Acts, to the Clerks of the Peace, and petty Constables.

Resolved, That Leave be given for the Bringing of a Proviso, upon the present Debate, to prevent the Levying of Arrears by this Bill, not really due by the former Acts.

State of Trade.

Resolved, That Mr. Clifford do make his Report concerning Trade, To-morrow Morning at Ten of the Clock.

Ly. Wandesford's Estate.

Ordered, That Mr. Sandys, Sir George Ryve, and Mr. Cory, be added to the Committee to whom the Lady Wandesford's Bill is committed.

New Sarum Writ.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do issue out his Warrant to the Clerk of the Crown, to make out a new Writ, for a Burgess for the Borough of New Sarum, in the County of Wilts, in the room of Mr. Tucker, lately deceased.

Committee of Privileges.

Ordered, That Colonel Robinson be added to the Committee for Privileges.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, at Eight of the Clock.
