Prayers.

Defaulters to Call of the House.

ORDERED, That Sir John Trot be excused for not attending on Monday last, when the House was called; and be struck out of the List of Defaulters.

Ordered, That Colonel Bishop be excused for his not attending when the House was called, on Monday last; and be struck out of the List of Defaulters.

Hertford, &c. Roads.

An ingrossed Bill for repairing and . . . . the Highways, within the Counties of Hertford, Huntington, and Cambridge, was this Day read.

Ordered, That the Word "aforesaid" be inserted into the Bill, instead of "the same."

Ordered, That the Word "Stocking" be inserted into the Bill.

Which was done accordingly.

A Proviso brought in, to be added to the Bill, was twice read.

Ordered, That these Words, "and Repayment of such Monies as shall have been borrowed," be inserted in the Proviso.

Which was done accordingly.

The Proviso, so amended, being read the Third time;

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.

Another Proviso was tendered; and twice read.

Ordered, That the Blank in the Proviso be filled up with the Word "Six."

The Proviso, so amended, being read the Third time;

Resolved, &c. That the Proviso, so amended, be agreed to.

The Question being put, That the Word "Peny," for the Score of Sheep, shall stand in the Bill;

It passed in the Negative.

Ordered, That the Word "Halfpeny" be inserted, instead of "Peny."

Which was done accordingly.

The Question being put, That the Bill, with the Proviso agreed to, do pass;

The House was divided.

And so it was resolved in the Affirmative, That the said Bill, with the Provisoes agreed to, do pass: And that the Title shall be, An Act for repairing the Highways within the Counties of Hertford, Cambridge, and Huntington.

Ordered, That the Lord Fanshaw do carry up the Bill to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Deane Forest.

Ordered, That Sir Charles Harbord do attend the Lord Treasurer; and desire his Lordship, that he would give Order to the Officers of the Forest of Deane, to take notice of such Persons as have or shall cut down, carry away, or make any Waste or Spoil upon the Wood or Trees in the Forest of Deane; and to return a List of their Names to this House.

Committee of Trade.

Ordered, That the Committee to whom it was referred to bring in Bills upon several Votes, reported to the House, from the Committee of Trade, do, To-morrow Morning, bring in a Bill or Bills thereupon.

Lyndsey Level.

The House then, according to the Order of the Thirtieth of April last, proceeded in the further Hearing of the Cause upon the Two Bills depending, concerning the Draining of the Level of the Fens, called Lyndsey Level.

And the Parties, and their Counsel, being called in to the Bar; and several Witnesses being examined; and several Deeds and Writings being produced, and read, on the Behalf of the Lords, Owners, and Commoners; and Counsel on both Sides heard;

The Question being put, That the Bill of Sir William Killigrew be proceeded in;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, That there be a Judicature erected by the Bill, to do equal Right to all Parties concerned;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Resolved, &c. That the Bill be re-committed to the former Committee: And that the Committee be revived: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees, which should have sat this Afternoon, be adjourned; and do sit To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon, in the Places appointed.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of the Clock.
