Prayers.

Relief of Loyalists.

LORD Bruce reports from the Committee appointed to receive Proposals for the further Supply of the Loyal Party, That they had prepared a Bill for Distribution of the Threescore thousand Pounds, and for some further Provision for them; and that they did desire the House would appoint some Members to attend his Majesty, . . . . when, and in what Manner, the said Money shall be distributed: Which Bill, being delivered in, was read the First time.

Resolved, That this Bill be read the Second time Tomorrow Morning.

Privilege.

Upon Information, That Mr. Broome Whorwood, a Member of this House, coming out of London last Night, was seized and detained by one Richard Chase, a Constable, and his Watch, at Bishopgate; and not suffered to pass, either in his Coach, or on Foot, although there was no Restraint put upon any other Person that had occasion to pass that Way, but only upon the said Mr. Whorwood, although the Constable was informed, that he was a Member of Parliament; and declared, that he acted by a Power that was above the Parliament, and would not permit . . to pass.

Ordered, That the Serjeant at Arms attending this House, or his Deputy, do apprehend the said Richard Chase, and take him into Custody, to answer this Misdemeanor, and Breach of Privilege, objected against him, in seizing and detaining the said Mr. Whorwood; and his uncivil Usage towards him.

Publick Accomptants.

A Bill for the more speedy Bringing of Accomptants to Accompt, whose Accompts are excepted in the Act of Oblivion, was this Day read the Second time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be committed to Sir Tho. Ingram, Sir Tho. Strickland, Sir Lanc. Lake, Mr. Clifford, Mr. Churchill, Sir Wm. Lowther, Sir Sol. Swale, Sir Nich. Mompesson, Sir John Nicholas, Mr.Aldworth, Sir John Coriton: And they are to meet in the Speaker's Chamber, at Two of the Clock this Afternoon: And to send for Persons, Papers, and Records: And to hear and consider such Proposals as shall be made, for Satisfaction of such Monies as have heretofore been lent, or taken up, for Supply of his late Majesty's Occasions, in the Time of the War; and are still unpaid.

Wye, &c. Navigation.

A Bill for the making navigable the Rivers of Wye and Lugg, in the County of Hereford, was this Day read the First time.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Ordered, That the Bill for making and preserving the River Wye in the County of Surrey navigable, be read the Second time To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

E. of Huntington's Estate.

Sir Edmund Peirse reports from the Committee to which the ingrossed Bill, sent from the Lords, to confirm the Sale of certain Lands, sold by Ferdinando late Earl of Huntington, for Payment of his own and his Father's Debts, was committed, That the Committee had carefully perused the Bill; and found no Defect, or Cause of Alteration or Amendments therein.

Resolved, That the said Bill be read the Third time To-morrow Morning.

L. Campden's Estate.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Justinian Lewen and Sir Toby Woolrich;

Mr. Speaker, The Lords have sent you a Bill, intituled, An Act for settling a Capital Messuage or Mansion House, with the Appurtenances, in Kensington, in the County of Middlesex, upon Baptist Viscount Campden, and his Heirs: To which they desire the Concurrence of this House.

Frauds in Customs.

The ingrossed Bill for preventing of Frauds, and regulating Abuses, in his Majesty's Customs, was this Day read the Third time.

A Petition of several Clothiers of the Counties of Essex and Suffolk was read.

A Proviso for Ships of Burden and Defence to be built, maintained, and employed, in Trade, into the Mediterranean Seas, was twice read: And some Amendments being, upon the Question, agreed to be made thereto;

The Question being put, That the Word "Tin" be inserted into the Proviso;

The House was divided.

The Yeas went out.

Ordered, That the further Debate of this Bill be adjourned till To-morrow Morning.

Fishing Trade.

Ordered, That the Members of this House, that serve for Yorkshire and Norfolke, be added to the Committee to which the Bill concerning the Fishing Trade is committed.
