Goring House.
A Bill to enable a Sale of Goring House, in Middlesex, was read the First time.
Resolved, &c. That this Bill be read a Second time on Tuesday next.
Williams' Estate.
Ordered, That the Bill touching Sir Henry Williams be read on Tuesday next.
Prisoner's Relief.
A Bill for the Relief of Prisoners was read the First time.
Ordered, That this Bill be read a Second time on Tuesday next.
Tayleur's Petition lost.
Sir Thomas Gower reports from the Committee of Grievances, to whom the Petition of Mr. Tayleur was committed, That the Committee, according to the Order, met Yesterday: That the Petition, being miscarried, could not be had; so that there could be no Proceedings by the Committee.
Ordered, That, upon the Calling of the House on Tuesday next, every Member do give an Account, and purge himself, touching the Libels found in the House; and also concerning the Substracting of Mr. Tayleur's Petition.
Ordered, That Mr. Tayleur be called in to the Bar of this House, to present his Petition again to the House.
Another presented.
Mr. Tayleur being again called in to the Bar of the House, did present his Petition again, under his Hand; which he averred to be the same in Terms with the Petition by him presented Yesterday.
And the Petition being read;
Resolved, &c. That the Petition of Mr. Tayleur be referred to the Committee of Grievances, to take the same into Consideration: And that they do sit this Afternoon, to appoint a Day for hearing the Matter.
Supply.
The House then resolved into a Committee of the whole House, to proceed in the further Consideration of his Majesty's Supply.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Millward took the Chair of the Committee.
Mr. Speaker resumes the Chair.
Mr. Millward reports, That the Committee of the whole House had proceeded in the Debate of his Majesty's Supply by a Land Tax; but came to no Resolution therein: And humbly moved, That the House, at their next Sitting, would resolve into a Committee again, to proceed in the further Debate thereof.
Committees.
Resolved, &c. That all Committees that were to sit this Afternoon, be adjourned till Tuesday, Two of the Clock in the Afternoon.
Committees added.
Ordered, That Mr. Cornwall, Mr. Phillip Howard, be added to the Committee of Elections.
Adjournment.
Resolved, &c. That this House shall be adjourned till Tuesday Morning, Eight of the Clock.
