Prayers.

Stower, &c. Navigation.

ORDERED, That the Committee to which the Bill for making navigable the Rivers of Stower and Salwerpe is committed, be revived: And that they do sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, at the Place formerly appointed; to receive Proposals, which are agreed on between the Undertakers and the Gentlemen of the Country.

Dover Pier.

Ordered, That such Members of this House as serve for the Counties of Kent and Surrey, be added to the Committee to which the Bill for Repair of Dover Harbour is committed.

Foreign Bone Lace.

Ordered, That Sir Courtney Poole and Mr. Prideaux be joined with Mr. Sandis, to prepare and bring in the Bill against wearing Foreign Bone Lace.

Thomas's Drainage.

Upon Information, That the Bill for settling certain Fen Lands, formerly drained by Sir Anthony Thomas, being referred to the same Committee to which the Bill concerning Lindsey Level, and other Fens, in Lincolnshire, was committed; and those Matters being first in Precedency, and like to take up much Time; That Committee could not possibly have Time to give Dispatch to the Bill concerning the Lands drained by Sir Anthony Thomas;

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Bill concerning the Fen Lands, drained by Sir Anthony Thomas, be referred to a select Committee: And that the same be committed to That Committee to which the Bill for the Level of Ancolne in Lincolnshire was referred; they having finished That Bill: And that all the Members that serve for the Counties of Kent and Surrey be added to the Committee.

Ancholne Level Fens.

Sir John Goodrick reports from the Committee to which the Bill for Confirmation of certain Decrees of Sewers, made by the Commissioners for the Limits of the Level of the River of Ancholne, in the County of Lincolne, was committed, several Amendments to be made in, and Provisoes to be added to, the Bill: Which, being read by the Reporter, with the Coherence, in his Place, were, afterwards, delivered in at the Clerk's Table.

The said Amendments were severally twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.

The Proviso, marked with the Letter A, to be added instead of the First Proviso formerly in the Bill, was also twice read.

And the Question being put, To agree with the Committee, for adding this Proviso, instead of the First Proviso formerly in the Bill;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

The Question being put, To adjourn the Consideration of the rest of the said Provisoes till To-morrow Morning;

It passed in the Negative.

The Seven next Provisoes, being severally twice read, were, upon the Question, agreed unto.

And a new Proviso being brought in, to be added, instead of the Proviso reported from the Committee, and marked with the Letter I, was twice read.

And the Question being put, That the Recompence to the Two Towns of Winterton and Bishops Norton shall be made out of the whole Five thousand Two hundred and Eighty seven Acres, mentioned in the Bill;

The same passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, that this Proviso be added, instead of the Proviso reported by the Committee, marked with the Letter I, and that Proviso withdrawn;

It was resolved in the Affirmative.

Two other Provisoes, Marked K and L, being severally twice read, were, upon the Question, agreed unto.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Bill, with the Amendments and Provisoes so agreed to, be ingrossed.

Hutchinson's Estate.

Ordered, That the Bill for Chambers and others to receive Two thousand Six hundred and Ninety Pounds out of the Estate of Mr. John Hutchinson, be read Tomorrow Morning, at Ten of the Clock.

Privilege.

The House being this Day informed, that several Actions of Ejectment being brought by one Robert Allingham, upon the Demise of Anna Samuell, and another by Andrew Guilliam, upon the Demise of Edward Capell, against several feigned Ejectors, to evict the Possession of the Manor of Ey in the County of Northampton, and certain Lands in Eye and Peterborough, thereto belonging, being the Estate of Henry Williams Esquire, one of the Members of this House; the said Mr. Williams was forced to become Defendant in those Actions, to prevent Judgments which would otherwise have passed against him; and now the Plantiffs in the said Actions press on to Tryal therein; in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That the Speaker of this House do desire the Lord High Chancellor of England to direct several Writs of Supersedeas to be issued, to stay all further Proceedings at Law in the said several Actions, during the Session of this present Parliament.

And then the House adjourned till To-morrow Morning at Eight of the Clock.
