Faunt's Estate.

MR. Burton reports Amendments to the Bill for enabling George Faunt of Foston, in the County of Leicester, Esquire, to sell and convey Part of his Lands, for Payment of several Debts and Legacies; charged upon his Estate by Sir William Faunt Knight, deceased, &c. Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

Ordered, That this Bill, thus amended, shall be ingrossed.

Impropriations.

A Bill enabling several Trustees to purchase in Impropriations, and other Revenues, to maintain several Ministers and Lecturers in several Parishes within this Nation, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to Alderman Foote, Sir Lilebone Long, Master of the Rolls, Sir Wm. Fitz-James' Claims.

The humble Petition of John Fitz-James Esquire was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Commissioners for stating Accompts at Worcester-house, and the said Commissioners are hereby impowered and authorized, to state the Accompts of Colonel John Fitz-James; and to give him Debentures for such Arrears as shall appear to be due upon the said Accompt so stated: And that the Trustees for the Sale of the Lands of the late King and Queen, be authorized and required, thereupon, to give him Bond, according to the Rules prescribed for the Officers of the Army; notwithstanding the said Colonel Fitz-James was not in Service in the Year 1647.

Relief of Edwards, &c.

Doctor Clerges reports Amendments to the Additional Act for the ascertaining and setting out Lands in Ireland in Consideration of Losses sustained by Anthony Edwards, and other the Well-affected Inhabitants of the City of Gloucester: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

Ordered, That the said Bill, so amended, be ingrossed.

Petition and Advice presented to Protector.

The House rose at Eleven of the Clock: And Mr Speaker, attended by the whole House, repaired to the Banqueting-House at Whitehall, to present unto his Highness the Lord Protector the humble Petition and Advice.

His Highness, attended by the Lord President of the Council, and other Officers of State, came thither: Where, after a learned Speech made to his Highness by Mr. Speaker, he presented, in the Name of the Parliament, the said humble Petition and Advice: Which was read by the Clerk of the Parliament: And, that being done, his Highness gave Answer therein to this Effect;
