Wednesday, 1st of April, 1657.

Terry's Estate.

A BILL enabling Judith Terry and Elizabeth Terrey to join with their Father in Making of Leases, for One-and-twenty Years, of several Copyhold Estates, held of the Manor of Stoak-Newington, within the County of Middlesex, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the Lord Protector's Consent be desired to this Bill.

Waller's Claims.

Colonel Carter reports Amendments to the Bill for settling Lands upon Sir Hardres Waller Knight: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

Another Amendment was offered to the said Bill at the Table, in these Words; "And be it further enacted, by the Authority aforesaid, That the Lord Deputy, or the Chief Governor of Ireland, with his Highness's Council there, or any Three or more of them shall, and are hereby appointed and authorized to, set out the said Lands, accordingly:" Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, assented unto.

The Question being put, That this Bill, thus amended, shall be ingrossed;

A Bill for amending the River of Owse, at or near the City of York, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee for bringing-in the Bill for the Courts of York: And that Lord Broghill, Alderman Foot, Sir John Reynolds, Alderman Gelder, Mr. Vincent, Colonel Grosvenor, be added to this Committee: And are to meet To-morrow Morning, at Seven of the Clock, in the Duchy Chamber.

Leave of Absence.

Ordered, That Mr. Jenkinson have Leave to go into the Country for Fourteen Days.

Avon Navigation.

A Bill for making the River of Avon, between the City of Bath and Bristoll, navigable, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time, this Day Sevennight.

The humble Petition of the Mayor, Aldermen, and Commons, of the City of London, in Common-Council assembled, was read.

Ordered, That this Petition be referred to a Committee: Viz. to Mr. Attorney-General, Alderman Foot, Major Burton, Mr. Lloyd, Colonel Weldon, Mr. Berkley, Colonel Cooper, Mr. Kiffyn, Alderman Tigh, Sir Christofer Pack, Colonel Harvey, Mr. Pedley, Major Beake, Sir Richard Onsloe, Mr. Drake, Mr. Carey, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Mr. Moody, Colonel White, Alderman Gelder, Doctor Clerges, Mr. Alsop, Mr. Downing, Mr. Holland, Mr. Whitway, Captain Stone, Mr. Upton, Sir Wm. Ordered, That the Report touching Harvey and Holland be made on Saturday Morning.

Ordered, That the Petition concerning the Forest of Exmore be read on Saturday.

Ship Jacob.

Sir John Reynolds reports from the Committee to whom the Petition of Albert Lemmerman, Abraham Ampen, and Company, Owners of the Ship and Goods The Jacob of Amsterdam, was referred, the Opinion of the Committee, That this Business be referred to the Judges of the Admiralty, for their speedy and effectual Relief in the Matters complained of: And that no Prohibition be granted in the Case.

Resolved, That this Report be re-committed to the same Committee; And that Mr. Attorney-General be added to that Committee.

Wrecks.

Resolved, That the Committee do report the Bill touching the Abuse in point of Wrecks, on this Day Sevennight.
