A BILL for Naturalizing Henry Steinmer, and others, was this Day read the First time.
Northampton Ministers.
Mr. Harvey reports Amendments to the Bill for the better Maintenance of the Ministers in the Town of Northampton: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto.
Ordered, That this Bill, thus amended, shall be ingrossed.
Petition from Westminster.
The humble Petition of many of the Inhabitants of the Parishes of Martin's in the Fields, Clement's Danes, the Savoy in Westminster, and of Paul, Covent Garden, with the Churchwardens of the said Parishes, in the Name of all the Inhabitants, was this Day read.
The Question being put, That this Petition be referred to a Committee;
It passed in the Negative.
Resolved, That this Petition be rejected.
Leicester Hospital.
Ordered, That the Report of the Amendments to the Bill for Leicester Hospital, be made To-morrow Morning.
Estates in Ireland.
Ordered, That the Bill for Assuring, Confirming, and Settling of Lands and Estates in Ireland be read the First time on Tuesday Morning next.
Irish Adventurers.
Ordered, That the Bill touching the Adventurers for Ireland be read on Tuesday Morning next.
Irish Rebels.
Ordered, That the Bill for the Attainder of the Rebels in Ireland be read on Tuesday Morning next.
Raising Money.
The House, according to former Order, was this Day resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House, touching the Raising of Four hundred thousand Pounds.
Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Downing took the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.
Mr. Downing reports, That the Grand Committee touching Money, desire the Leave of this House to sit To-morrow Morning; nothing to intervene.
Resolved, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House To-morrow Morning, to sit upon the Business for raising the Sum of Four hundred thousand Pounds; nothing to intervene.
