Friday, the 21st of November, 1656.

Prayers.

RESOLVED, That no Member of the House do remain in the Committee-Chambers during the Time of Prayers.

Lawrence's, &c. Nat.

Mr. Noell reports from the Committee for Naturalization of William Lawrence, Martha Lawrence, Theodora Lawrence, Stephen Tracy, Nathaniell Tracy, Abraham Stock, John Kirke, Mary Kirke, Richard Bogan, Peter Silvester, Constant Silveston, Gideon Harvy, Jacob Lowrvan Slodt, Theodore Haak and Elizabeth his Wife, and Kateryne Genne her Daughter, Francis Pardini, and John Pardini.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That these Words, in the 14th, 15th, and 16th Lines of the Second Page of this Bill, be left out; viz. "Theodore Haak Esquire, born in the Palatinate of Germany, and Elizabeth his Wife, and Katherine Genne, Daughter of the said Elizabeth, born at Utrecht;"

It passed with the Negative.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That these Words, "Theodore Haak and Elizabeth his Wife, and Catharine Genne, her Daughter," in the 14 and 15th Line of the 4th Page, be left out;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That, in the Sixth Page, the following Names mentioned in the 3 and 4th Lines; viz. Theodore Hake and Elizabeth his Wife, Catherine Genne her Daughter;" be left out;

It passed in the Negative.

The Question being put, To agree with the Committee, That, in the 8th Page, the following Names, mentioned in the last Line; viz. "Theodore Haak and Elizabeth his Wife, and Catherine Genne her Daughter;" be left out;

It passed in the Negative.

And all the rest of the Amendments, being put to the Question, were agreed;

And the Bill, so amended, was ordered to be ingrossed.

Isle of Ely Privileges.

A Bill, intituled, An Act of Grant and Confirmation of Liberties and Privileges within the Isle of Ely in the County of Cambridge, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Leicester Hospital.

The humble Petition of the Mayor, Bailiffs, and Burgesses, of the Borough of Leicester, was this Day read.

Ordered, That Mr. Stanley do bring in a Bill to the Purpose mentioned in this Petition, touching the Hospital of Leicester, on Tuesday Morning.

Fish Trade.

Mr. Downing reports from the Committee for Trade, A Bill giving Liberty for transporting Fish: Which was this Day read the First time; and ordered to be read the Second time on this Day Sevennight.

Deane Forest.

A Bill, intituled, An Act for the Mitigation of the Rigour of the Forest-Laws within the Forest of Deane in the County of Gloucester, and for the Preservation of Wood and Timber in the said Forest, was this Day read the First time; and ordered to be read the Second time on Tuesday next.

Perpetuanas, &c.

Ordered, That the Bill for Regulation of Perpetuanas, be read To-morrow Morning.

Unnecessary Suits.

Ordered, That the Bill for Restraining of unnecessary Suits upon Bonds or Bills, be read To-morrow Morning.

Union with Scotland.

The Question being put, That the House be now resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House, upon the Bill for Uniting Scotland into one Commonwealth with England;

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.

Mr. Bampfeild took the Chair.

Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Bampfeild reports the Desire of the Committee, that they may have Leave to sit another Day.

Ordered, That the House be resumed into a Grand Committee, upon the Bill for uniting Scotland into one Commonwealth with England, on Thursday.

Spanish War.

Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee of the whole House, on Wednesday next, upon the Business of carrying on the Spanish War, and raising Monies for that Purpose.

Civil Law.

Ordered, That the Petition touching the Professors of the Civil Law be read To-morrow Morning.

Court of Wards.

Ordered, That the Bill for the Court of Wards be brought in, ingrossed, To-morrow.

Exports.

Ordered, That the Bill for Transportation of Commodities be brought in, ingrossed, on Monday next.
