Tuesday, the 4th of November, 1656.

Milward's Estate.

A BILL for enabling of William Milward, Esquire, to sell Part of his Lands, for Payment of his Debts, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Monday Morning next.

Yarmouth Ministers.

Ordered, That the Bill for raising Money for the Maintenance of the Ministers of Great Yarmouth, be read on Thursday Morning next.

Ministers Maintenance.

Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to prepare and bring in a Bill for raising Maintenance for Ministers in such Cities; Corporations, and Market-Towns, where Maintenance is wanting: Viz. to Mr. Bampfeild, Mr. Aldworth, Major-General Whaley, Colonel Rous, Mr. Crooke, Mr. Fowell, Mr. Buller, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Sheild, Mr. Bedford, Lord Commissioner Whitelock: And are to meet this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Thanks to Gen. Mountague.

Notice being taken, That General Mountague, one of the Generals at Sea, being lately returned from Sea with the Spanish Prizes, was come into the House, he being returned to be a Member; It was

Resolved, That Thanks be given from this House to General Mountague, for his great and good Services done for this Commonwealth at Sea.

Mr. Speaker did give him the Thanks of the House, accordingly.

Members to attend.

Resolved, That the Lords Commissioners of the Great Seal, the Chief Justice Baron Parker, and the rest of the Members of this House, that are in Westminster Hall, be sent for, to attend the Service of the House.

And the Serjeant was sent, with the Mace, for them accordingly.

Vagrants.

An Act against Vagrants, and wandering, idle, dissolute Persons, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee that brought it in: And that Alderman Pack, Mr. Robinson, Sir Thomas Wroth, and Alderman Foote, be added to that Committee.

Union with Scotland.

A Bill for Uniting of Scotland into one Commonwealth with England, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to a Committee of the whole House; to sit on Friday Morning, at Nine of the Clock.
