Thursday, the 6th of November, 1656.

Yarmouth Ministers.

AN Act for raising Money for the Maintenance of the Ministers of Great Yarmouth, was this Day read the First time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time on Tuesday Morning next.

Court of Wards.

Mr. Robinson reports Amendments to the Bills for taking away the Court of Wards: Which were twice read.

The Question being propounded, That this Bill be recommitted;

And the Question being put, That this Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So it passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put, That this Bill be re-committed; It was

Resolved, That this Bill be re-committed: And that Mr. Crook, Col. Howard, Sir Richard Onslow, Sir Wm. Strickland, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Mr. Lucy, Colonel Welden, Major Aston, Mr. West, Mr. Ash, Mr. Brewster, be added to this Committee: And they are to meet on Saturday in the Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Inner Court of Wards.

Spanish War.

Ordered, That the Account appointed by an Order of the Five-and-twentieth of October last to be brought in this Day, in reference to the Spanish War, and the Charge thereof, and the Reports from the Committees touching the same, be made To-morrow Morning; and that the Debate thereupon be then taken up, the first Business.

Union with Scotland.

Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee, upon the Bill touching the Union with Scotland, on Saturday next.

Courts at Yorke.

Ordered, That the Bill for setting up Courts at Yorke, be read a Second time on Saturday Morning next.

Peyton's Estate.

Mr. Attorney of the Duchy reports Amendments to the Bill for enabling Robert Peyton and Algernon Peyton his Brother to sell a Part of their Lands, for Payment of their Debts: Which Amendments were twice read.

And the Question being put, To agree with the Amendments, notwithstanding the Lunacy of the said Robert Peyton;

It passed with the Affirmative.

And the rest of the Amendments, being put to the Question, were assented unto.

And the said Bill, so amended, was, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

Oaths.

Ordered, That the Committee, to whom the Act to take away Customary Oaths, was referred, be revived; and that they sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Court of Wards.
