Bristoll Ministers.

ORDERED, That the Bill for Maintenance of Ministers in Bristoll be read on Saturday Morning.

Wiltes Sheriffs' Court.

A Bill for settling the Holding of the Sheriff's Court for the County of Wiltes to be kept at the Devizes, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question committed to Major Scotton, Colonel Rous, General Disbrow, Mr. Robinson, Major-General Packer, Mr. Throckmorton, Colonel Grosvenor, Mr. John Ash, Mr. James Ash, all the Gentlemen that serve for the County of Wiltes, and the Boroughs within that County, Mr. Bond, Sir Gilbert Pickering, Colonel Blake, Colonel Fitz James, Mr. Aldworth, Earl of Salisbury, Mr. Lister, Sir Wm. Strickland, Sir Tho. Wroth, Mr. Bampfield, Captain Hatsell, Mr. Hyde, Mr. Trumball, Mr. Tho. Smyth, Mr. Dunch, Mr. Brewster: And this Committee are to meet on Saturday next, at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Duchy-Chamber.

Deane Forest.

General Disbrow reports from the Committee, Amendments to the Bill for Mitigation of the Forest-Laws, within the Forest of Deane, in the County of Gloucester; and for the Preservation of the Wood and Timber: Which were twice read; and agreed.

And the Bill so amended, was, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, That Mr. Bedford have Leave to go into the Country.

Holidays.

A Bill for the abolishing, and taking away, of Festival Days, commonly called Holy Days, was this Day read the First Time; and, upon the Question, ordered to be read the Second time To-morrow Morning.

Militia.

The Question being propounded, That Leave be given by the House, to bring in a Bill of Assessments for Maintenance of the Militia Forces; the same to be laid upon such Persons as have been in Arms against the Parliament, or sequestered for their Delinquency in the late Wars; with due Restrictions, Exceptions, and Provisoes, to be contained therein, for some Persons, and in some Cases; and, the Question being put, That that Question be now put;

The House was divided.

The Noes went forth.

So it passed in the Affirmative.

And the main Question being put;

The House was again divided.

The Yeas went forth.

So it was resolved, That Leave be given by the House to bring in a Bill of Assessments for Maintenance of the Militia Forces; the same to be laid upon such Persons as have been in Arms against the Parliament, or sequestered for their Delinquency, in the late Wars; with due Restrictions, Exceptions, and Provisoes, to be contained therein for some Persons, and in some Cases.
