Wednesday, the 10th of December, 1656.

Plymouth Vicarage.

AN Act enabling the Patrons and Vicars of Plymouth, for the Time being, to lease certain Houses, Parcel of the said Vicarage, at a Rack-Rent, was this Day read the Third time; and, upon the Question, passed.

Ordered, That the Lord Protector's Consent be desired to this Bill.

Earl of Salisbury's Claims.

The humble Petition of William Earl of Salisbury, was this Day read.

Ordered, That this Petition be committed to a Committee; viz. to Mr. Robinson, Colonel White, MajorGeneral Goff, Mr. Bedford, General Disbrow, MajorGeneral Packer, Colonel Cowper, Major-General Whaley, Mr. Barrington, Mr. Bond, Mr. Coker, Colonel Rous, Sir Wm. Strickland, Doctor Clargis, Mr. Timbs, Mr. Harvey, Mr. Reynell, Sir Richard Onsloe, Major-General Bridges, Colonel Mathewes, Colonel Shapcott, Major-General Berry, Colonel Wilton, Colonel Wood, Mr. Hall, Mr. Alsop: And they are to meet To-morrow at Two of Clock in the Afternoon, in the Duchy-Chamber.

The Question being put, That Power be given to this Committee, That if they find this Debt charged on the Parliament by their own Allowance, then they shall propound some Way, how Satisfaction may be given therein;

The House was divided.

So it passed with the Negative.

Publick Debts.

Ordered, That it be referred to the same Committee, to take the Debts upon the Publick Faith, and the Persons to whom the same is due, into Consideration; and how the same may be stated and ascertained in the several Counties; and also the Ways and Means how the same may be satisfied; and to offer their Opinion therein to the House: And that Colonel Clerk, Alderman Foote, Sir Christofer Pack, Major-General Howard, Sir Tho. Wroth, Mr. Sheild, Sir Rich. Lucy, Colonel Gorges, Mr. Barington, be added to this Committee for this Purpose.

Cambridge Colleges.

Ordered, That the Committee for the Bill touching the Four Colleges in Cambridge be revived; and that they meet To-morrow at Two of the Clock in the Afternoon: And that Mr. Bodurda, Mr. Hampden, Mr. Cole, Colonel Clerk, Colonel Ingoldsby, Mr. Dunch, Mr. Lucy, Sir Charles Wolsley, Captain Blackwell, be added to that Committee.

Union with Ireland.

Ordered, That the House be resolved into a Grand Committee upon the Bill for the Union of Ireland into one Commonwealth with England, on Friday Morning next.

Union with Scotland.

Ordered, That the House, on Saturday next, be resolved into a Grand Committee upon the Bill for Uniting Scotland into one Commonwealth with England.

Nayler's Blasphemies.

The House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate upon the Report touching James Nayler.

Resolved, That this Debate concerning James Nayler, be adjourned till To-morrow Morning, Eight of Clock; and nothing to intervene.
