ORDERED, That Colonel Carter and Mr. Bodurda, be added to the Committee for Naturalization.

Rinchebech's &c. Nat.

A Bill for Naturalizing of Henry Rinchebech, and others, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee to whom the former Bills for Naturalization was committed.

Ordered, That Mr. Clergis, Mr. Dean, and Colonel Markham, be added to that Committee.

A Person discharged.

The humble Petition of Samuell Chidley was this Day read.

Ordered, That Samuell Chidley, upon this Petition, be released of his Commitment.

Mullard's &c. Nat.

A Bill for Naturalizing James Mullard, and others, was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to the Committee to whom the former Bills for Naturalization are committed.

Scotch Affairs.

Ordered, That Judge Advocate Whaley be added to the Committee for Scottish Affairs.

Privilege.

The House being acquainted, That the Bailiff of Middlesex, who arrested Mr. Throckmorton, was at the Door, he was brought in to the Bar:

And Mr. Speaker demanded of him, What his Name was: Said, His Name was * Raby, one of the Bailiffs of the Sheriff's of Middlesex: Being asked, Whether he did arrest Mr. Throckmorton; he saith, Yea; and that he did it by Order of one George Hill, an Attorney belonging to Cliffords-Inn: Did not know he was a Parliamentman: It was a Fortnight before the Parliament sat, being the 2d of September: And that he told him, after he was arrested, That he was returned to serve in Parliament: Saith, Mr. Hill, being acquainted with it, said, If any Damage came, it must fall on him.

Resolved, That George Hill of Clifford's-Inn, be sent for, as a Delinquent; and brought to the Bar To-morrow Morning: And that * Raby do remain in Custody of the Serjeant, in the mean time.

Mr. Speaker reports, That he hath received, from the Ambassador Extraordinary of the Lords the States General of the United Provinces, The humble Petition of Albert Lemmerman, Abraham Ampen, and Company, Owners of the Ship and Goods, and of Aerent Marrenson, Master of the Ship, The Jacob of Amsterdam: Which was this . . . read.

Ordered, That the Matter of this Petition touching the bad Usage of the Petitioners, and the Spoil and Loss of the Ship and Goods, be referred to a Committee; to examine the Matter of Fact; and to report the State thereof to the House; with Power to send for Parties, Witnesses, Papers, and Records.

Ordered, That the Laws touching Wreck, and the Use, and the Abuses therein, be taken into Consideration, by that Committee: And if they shall find these Laws defective, that they have Power to bring in a Bill for preventing the Evils in this Business: Viz. to Lord Commissioner Whitelock, Major Burton, Lord Broghill, Mr. Pury, Mr. Shapcott, Major-General Lilborne, MajorGeneral Packer, Mr. Hoskins, Mr. Searle, Mr. Fowell, Mr. Recorder, Mr. Waring, Mr. Robinson, Mr. Stapley, Mr. Throckmorton, Major-General Whaley, Sir John Reynolds, Colonel Edwards, Colonel Cock, Colonel Jones, Mr. Bodurda, Sir Charles Wolsley, Colonel Rous, Mr. Secretary, Captain Lilborne, Major-General Skippon, Lord Strickland, Sir Wm.
