Publick Fast.
THE House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate upon the Draught of the Declaration, shewing the Grounds of the Fast.
Resolved, That the said Declaration be read in Parts.
The said Declaration was read by Parts, accordingly.
And the First Part being read;
Resolved, That instead of the Word, "ones," in the First Clause, the Word "Servants," be inserted.
And the said Clause, so amended, being put to the Question, passed.
Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to withdraw; and to pen a Clause, according to the Debate of the House, to be added to this Declaration, to prohibit all bodily Labours, and Recreations, or other Actions tending to the Profanation of that Day: Viz. Lord Commissioner Whitlock, Lord Broghill, Mr. Attorney General, Major Beak, Colonel John Jones: Who are to bring in the same presently.
Resolved, That Mr. Godfrey be added to that Committee.
Committee for Religion.
Mr. Bamfeild reports from the Grand Committee for Religion, That it is desired by the said Committee, to have Monday in the Afternoon, in every Week, added for the Sitting of that Committee.
Resolved, That Monday in the Afternoon, in every Week, be appointed likewise for the Grand Committee for Religion to sit.
Renouncing Right of Car. II.
Mr. Carey reports from the Committee, Amendments to the Bill for Renouncing and Disannulling the pretended Title of Charles Stuart: Which were twice read: and, upon the Question, agreed.
Resolved, That these Words, "Duke of Cornwall," be inserted into the Bill, in all Places, after the Words, " Prince of Wales."
Resolved, That the Bill, with these Amendments, be ingrossed.

Lord Commissioner Whitelock reports from the Committee appointed to withdraw, a Clause to be added to the Declaration: Which was twice read; and, upon the Question, was agreed.
And the whole Declaration, so amended, with the Title thereof, being put to the Question, was passed.
Resolved, That his Highness be attended with the Draught of this Declaration, to desire his Highness's Concurrence therein.

The Lord Commissioner Fienes reports by Word of Mouth, from the Council, their Answer to the Order made on Saturday last, to this Effect.
"Whereas the Parliament did desire the Council to give unto them, this Morning, their Reasons, why those Members who are returned for the several Counties and Boroughs for Members, are not approved; and why they are not admitted into the House; the Council have commanded me to return this humble Answer:
"That whereas by a Clause in the Government it is ordained, That the Clerk, called the Clerk of the Commonwealth, &c. as in the One-and-twentieth Article; and by another Clause in the Government, it is ordained, That the Persons who shall be elected to serve in Parliament, shall be such, and no other than such, as are Persons of known Integrity, fearing God, and of good Conversation:
That the Council, in pursuance of their Duty, and according to the Trust reposed in them, have examined the said Returns, and have not refused to approve any who have appeared to them to be Persons of Integrity to the Government, fearing God, and of good Conversation: And those who are not approved, his Highness hath given Order to some Persons to take Care, that they do not come into the House."
The Question being put, That this House do adjourn till To-morrow Morning;
