Butlerage, &c.

ORDERED, That the Committee of the Navy be added to the Committee touching Butlerage and Prisage.

Fee-farm Rents.

Mr. Pury reports from the Committee, Amendments to the Act concerning Fee-farm Rents: Which were twice read; and, upon the Question, agreed unto; and the said Act, upon the Question, ordered to be ingrossed.

Letters read.

Sir Henry Vane reports from the Council of State, some Letters from the Army in Scotland.

Business to be done.

Resolved, That, for one Month, from this Day, all private Business be forborn; and no other Matter taken into Debate, but Business of Money, and other publick Affairs of the Commonwealth.-

Letters to be extracted.

Ordered, That some Members do withdraw, and make an Extract of what of these Letters are fit to be published; and present it to the House: Sir Henry Vane, Major General Harrison, Mr. Scott, Major General Skippon, Mr. Salway; or any Two of them.

Transactions with Holland.

Resolved, That Mr. Strickland have Leave to visit the Lord Gerard Scaeph, Commissioner from the States Provincial of Holland and West Frizland.

Resolved, That a Relation be made by Mr. Strickland concerning the Affairs in Holland To-morrow at Eleven of Clock: And that Mr. Speaker do then take the Chair.

Delinquents Estates.

The House resumed the Debate upon the Amendments to the Act for Sale of the Estates of several Delinquents; and proceeded with the Saving to all other Persons, &c.

Resolved, That the Committee of Obstructions for Dean and Chapters Lands be the Committee mentioned in this Saving.

Resolved, That the Names of the several Delinquents, whose Estates are, by this Bill, to be sold, be inserted into this Saving.

Resolved, That the Time, in this Saving, be, the Twentieth of May 1642: And that the same be made so in all Places in the Bill, instead of March 1641.

Resolved, That this Saving be recommitted upon the Debate of the House.

Militia.

Resolved, That the Parliament doth declare, That the several Powers given by the several Acts of Parliament to the respective Commissioners for the Militias of the Cities, of the Tower, and Westminster, the Militias of Southwark, and the Hamlets of London, be and are in full Force, notwithstanding one Act of this present Parliament, intituled, An Act for Settling of the Militia of the Commonwealth of England: And that the respective Commissioners in the said several Acts do exercise the said several Powers, accordingly.

Ordered, That this Vote be forthwith printed and published.

Delinquents Estates.

Resolved, That the Estates of so many Delinquents shall be put to Sale, as may be sufficient Security for Two hundred thousand Pounds.

Resolved, That the Committee to whom this Bill was committed, do consider of Names of more Delinquents to be presented to the House, and inserted into this Bill, for their Estates to be sold.

Resolved, That it be referred to the same Committee, to bring in a Clause in this Bill, to admit of Doubling on these Lands: And that the same Rules be observed touching the Publick Faith to be doubled, as was in the Sale of Dean and Chapters Lands.

Resolved, That it be re-committed to the Committee, to perfect the Bill; and to meet this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber, at Two of the Clock; and report it To-morrow Morning, the first Business.

Magdalen Col. Oxford.

Resolved, That the Report touching Magdalen College in Oxford be made on Friday next, after the Bill against divers atheistical, blasphemous, and heretical Opinions.
