Prayers.

Representation and Elections.

THE House, according to former Order, was this Day resolved into a Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections.

Mr. Speaker left the Chair.
Mr. Say took the Chair.
Mr. Speaker resumed the Chair.

Mr. Say reports from the said Grand Committee, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections, That the said Grand Committee hath adjourned itself until This-day-sevennight; and desire the Leave of this House, that they may sit then.

Resolved, That this House be resolved into a Grand Committee, on This-day-sevennight, touching an equal Representative, and for regulating Elections: And that Mr. Speaker do then forbear to take the Chair.

Charge against Clotworthy, &c.

Ordered, That as well the Petition of Mr. George Wood, as the Paper of Mr. Anthony Larder, containing, the Charge of the said George Wood against Sir John Clotworthy, and Mr. Davis, be referred to the Committee formerly named; to consider of the said Paper, and Information of Mr. Larder; and to examine the Particulars of the Abuses therein charged: With Power to send for Persons, Papers, Records, and Witnesses; and to report their Opinion to the House with all Speed: And they are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Exchequer Chamber.

Northern Expedition.

The House, according to former Order, resumed the Debate upon the Report made Yesterday from the Council of State.

Resolved, That both the Lord General, and the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Lieutenant General of the Army, be commanded to go upon this Northern Expedition.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, that they do, this Afternoon, acquaint the Lord General with this Resolution of the House; and that they take special Care for the speedy March both of the Lord General, and the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Lieutenant General of the Army, accordingly.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Attorney General and the Solicitor General to prepare a Commission for the Lord General, to be presented to the House; and that they bring it on Friday Morning next.

Forces in City Lines.

Ordered, That the Ordinance impowering Major General Skippon to command and conduct the Forces of the City of London, and late Lines of Communication, be brought in on Friday next: And that the same be turned into an Act: And that Colonel Ven do bring in an Act to that Purpose.

Army.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Council of State, to consider how the Forces, left here for the Safety of the Parliament, and the other Parts of the Commonwealth, shall be commanded and conducted in the Absence of the Lord General, and Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, Lieutenant General, and in Sabordination to them.

Lord Ely, &c.

The humble Petition of Edward Lord Viscount Ely, in Ireland, was this Day read.

The humble Petition of Ann, Daughter and Heir to Sir Robert Loftus, and Grandchild and Heir of Adam Lord Viscount Loftus of Ely, both deceased, was this Day read.

Ordered, That it be referred to a Committee, to consider of the said several Petitions; to examine the Truth of the Allegations therein; and to state the Matter of Fact; and speedily to report the same to the House: Viz. to Mr. John Corbett, Mr. Bond, Mr. Gurdon, Mr. Lechmere, Sir Henry Mildmay, Colonel Marten, Colonel Jones, Colonel Hutchinson, Mr. Goodwyn, Mr. Weaver, Mr. Chaloner, Sir John Bourcher, Colonel Fielder, Alderman Allen, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Dove, Mr. Richard Darley, Mr. Hodges, Mr. Gold, Mr. Lister, Mr. Carew; or any Five of them: And this Committee are to meet at Two of the Clock this Afternoon, in the Speaker's Chamber: With Power to send for Papers, Persons, Witnesses, and Records.

Grant to Bodvile.

Ordered, That the Commissioners of Goldsmiths Hall be authorized and required to give Warrant unto the Treasurers of that Receipt to make Payment of Five hundred Pounds per Annum unto Mrs. Anne Bodvile, Wife of John Bodvile Esquire, in lieu of her Fifth Part out of the Profits of her Husband's Estate, now under Sequestration, while that Sequestration shall continue, by quarterly Payments; the first Payment to be made, as due and payable, on the Five-and-twentieth Day of March last: And that the Acquittance of the said Mrs. Anne Bodvile shall be a sufficient Discharge to the said Treasurers, from time to time, for the same: And that the Committee to whom the Bill for Sale of Delinquents Estates is committed do insert the Name of the said John Bodvile, into that Bill, for his Lands to be sold for the Advantage of the Commonwealth.

Ordered, That the Three Reports in Sir Gilbert Pickering his Hands, be made on Friday Morning next.

Earl of Thomond.

Mr. John Goodwyn reports the Petition of Barnaby Earl of Thomond, and the State of the Business thereupon, and the Votes of the Committee thereupon.

Resolved, That this House doth adjourn itself until Friday Morning next at Eight of Clock.
