Die Jovis, 27 Septembris, 1649.

PRAYERS.

Goldsmiths Hall Revenue.

MR. Scott reports from the Council of State, That, whereas the Ninety thousand Pounds per mensem is not sufficient for the Pay of the Army; and that, for the Supply thereof, this Council hath charged some Monies upon the Receipts at Goldsmiths Hall; that at present Monies do not come in, for want of perfecting some Compositions there depending; to desire the House, they will give Order to the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall to sit frequently till those Compositions be finished; that Supplies may be had thence seasonably for the Necessities of the Army.

Ordered, That the Committee at Goldsmiths Hall do sit this Afternoon, and so de die in diem, till those Compositions be finished, that Supplies may be had from thence seasonably for the Necessities of the Army: And that Mr. Lister and Colonel Marten be added to that Committee.

Proceedings at Oxford.

Mr. Scott reports from the Council of State, a Letter from the General, from Kensington, 24 Septembris 1649, touching the suppressing the late Insurrection at Oxford, and the Proceedings of the Court Martial against such of the most guilty therein, as were Members of the Army: Which was this Day read.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth approve of the General's Proceedings therein: And that the Thanks of this House be returned to the General, and the rest of the Officers, for their good Service therein: And that Mr. James Challenor do give them the Thanks of this House accordingly.

Declaration of Parliament.

Mr. Scott reports from the Council of State, a Declaration for vindicating the Proceedings of the Parliament.
