Prayers.

Leave of Absence.

RESOLVED, &c. That Mr. Lawrence, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go beyond the Seas; and his Service dispensed with in the mean time.

Articles of Faith.

Resolved, &c. That the Texts of Scripture be printed, with the Articles of Faith.

Essex County.

Ordered, That Sir Harbottle Grimston, Sir Martin Lumley, and the rest of the Gentlemen of the County of Essex, be desired to go down into the said County, for settling the same: And it is left to the said Gentlemen, to agree among themselves, How many of them shall go down, and be absent from the House at once.

Presbyterial Government.

An Ordinance for perfecting and establishing the Presbyterial Government in the Church was this Day read the Second time; and, upon the Question, committed to a Committee of the whole House: And that the House be resolved into a Committee, before Mr. Speaker taketh the Chair, on Friday Morning next; and so every Friday.

Ordered, That Mr. Clive, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Poole Minister.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for plundered Ministers, to send for Mr. Smithsby, who has the Impropriation of Poole; and to treat and confer with him upon the making, out of the Profits thereof, some competent Allowance to a Preaching Minister in the said Parish, as formerly hath been used.

Rector of Althorp.

An Ordinance for appointing Thomas Spademan Rector and Incumbent of the Rectory of Althorp in the County of Lincoln was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Lostus' Creditors.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee for the Affairs of Ireland, sitting in the Star-chamber, to send for and confer with the Creditors of Sir Arthur Loftus, at whose Suit the said Sir Arthur Loftus is now under Restraint; and consider, with him, How the said Creditors may receive Satisfaction for the said Debts, out of such Ways and Means as are appointed for securing and satisfying the Arrears of Sir Arthur Loftus with the rest of the Munster Officers: And that they do further consider, How the pressing and present Necessities of the said Sir Arthur Loftus may be relieved.

Ordered, That, on Saturday Morning next, the first Business, the Petition of Sir Arthur Loftus, and the Petitions of Mr. Sike, Mrs. Jennings, Mrs. Pigott, Mrs. Babington, Mrs. Alice Allen, and Richard Hamlyn, be taken into Consideration.

Bristoll Castle.

Ordered, That the Sum of a Thousand Pounds be advanced to the City of Bristoll, for Repair of the Fort and Castle, and furnishing them with Provisions, Stores, and Ammunition: And that the said Sum be raised out of such Delinquents Estates, as shall be discovered by the City, or any for them: And that Mr. Aldworth do prepare and bring in an Ordinance for this Purpose.

Bristoll Militia.

An Ordinance for settling the Militia in the City and County of the City of Bristoll was this Day read; and, upon the Question, passed; and ordered to be sent to the Lords for their Concurrence.

Attempting the King's Escape.

Ordered, That Mr. Dowcett, and * Floyd, that are sent up Prisoners from the Governor of the Isle of Wight, for attempting the King's Escape out of Carisbrooke Castle, be referred to the Examination of the Committee for Informations.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Dowcett, and the Soldier sent Prisoner with him from the Isle of Wight, be forthwith committed Prisoners to Peter House; there to remain Prisoners till further Order.

Scotts Affairs.

Resolved, &c. That the Letters and Papers, last received from the Commissioners of Parliament in Scotland, be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning, the first Business; and nothing to intervene.

Apprehending Delinquents.

Ordered, That Mr. Speaker do give Warrants for breaking open Doors, where Resistance shall be made, upon the Apprehending of such Delinquents as Power is given to a Committee to apprehend, and send to the Army, in order to the Release of Sir Wm. Massam, and the rest of the Gentlemen of the Committee of Essex.

Isle of Wight.

Ordered, That Two hundred Demiculverin Shot, of those that are in Arundell or Chicester, be delivered to the Governor of the Isle of Wight, for the Service of that Place: And the Committee of the County of Sussex are required to give Orders herein accordingly.

Radnor Sequestrations.

Ordered, That the Monies in the Hands of the Sequestrators in the County of Radnor be employed upon and for the Entertainment of the Horse raised in the said County, upon Order received from the Committee at Derby House: And that the said Monies be issued by Order of the Committee of the Militia there.

Arms for Northern Association.

Ordered, That Six thousand Musquets with Bandaleers, Fifteen hundred Case of Pistols with Holsters and Spanners, Fifteen hundred Saddles, Four thousand Pikes, and Five thousand Swords, with Ammunition, be forthwith provided for the publick Service of the several Counties of the Northern Association.

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of the Northern Association, to consider of a Way, How Money may be raised for providing Arms and Ammunition for the several Counties of the Northern Association.
