Prayers.

Ordered, That the Committee of both Kingdoms do sit this Afternoon: And that the Committee of Lords and Commons for the Admiralty and Cinque-Ports do meet with them, to receive such Informations as Mr. Speaker shall offer unto them: And have Power to do therein as they shall see Cause.

Whereas, by Order of this House, of 5 Octobris 1644, That the Arrears due unto the Earl of Peterborough, upon Debenture, for his Entertainment in the Parliament's Service, should be paid and satisfied out of the concealed Estates of Delinquents, to be discovered by the Countess of Peterborough, they appearing to be Delinquents to the Committee of Examinations; the Residue of such Discovery to be employed for the Use of the Three Counties of Oxon, Bucks, and Berks; which Committee of Examinations hath been since dissolved: It is this Day Ordered, by the Commons, assembled in Parliament, That any such Discovery, to be made by the said Countess, be received by the Committee of Lords and Commons for Advance of Monies, sitting at Haberdashers-Hall: And that the Proceed of such Discovery, and all Monies to be raised thereby, be, by the said Committee of Lords and Commons, disposed and employed for Satisfaction of the Arrears due to the said Earl; and the Residue or Overplus thereof to the Use of the said Three Counties; according to the said Order of 5 Octobris 1644.

Ordered, That, on this Day Sevennight, the House do take into Consideration the Business concerning the Elections of Cornewall, the first Business: And that, next after the Business of Elections in Cornewall, the House do take into Consideration the Business concerning Elections of Knights and Burgesses for the County-Palatine of Durham: And Mr. Speaker is to put the House in mind hereof.

Ordered, That, after the Business of the Papers from the Scotts Commissioners, the House do take into Consideration the Disposal of the Great Seal of England, and regulating the Proceedings of the Chancery, according to the former Orders.

Ordered, That, next after the Business of the Disposal of the Great Seal, the Ordinance for the County of Chester be read the Second time.

Ordered, That, next after the Business of the Ordinance for the County of Chester, Mr. Henry Pelham do make the Reports in his Hands, concerning the County of Lincolne.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of the West, in Sir John Northcote's Hands, be made on Thursday Morning next, concerning Major Stephens.

Ordered, That the Report, concerning the Articles of Oxford, be made on Thursday Morning next.

Ordered, That the Report, concerning the Gentlemen of Cornewall, be made on Thursday Morning next.

Ordered, That the Ordinance, concerning the University of Oxford, be reported on Thursday Morning next.

The Question being put, Whether, at this Time, the House shall take into Consideration the Debate concerning the King's Person;

The House was divided.

Ordered, That Sir Edward Hungerford, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Ordered, That Colonel Bellingham, a Member of this House, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That Colonel Bosevile, a Member of this House, and Major Pont, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have their Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That the Sub-Committee of Accompts for the County of Warwick do certify, to the Committee of Accompts at London, the Accompts of Colonel Bossevile, and Major Pont, taken by them, and now remaining in their Hands.

Ordered, That Colonel John Boothe be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That Mr. Thomas Trapham, Surgeon, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That Colonel Sydenham, a Member of this House, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That Colonel Bingham, a Member of this House, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Ordered, That Colonel Lassells, a Member of this House, be referred to the Committee of Accompts; to have his Accompts stated and certified.

Resolved, &c. That Mr. Carne, now Prisoner in Bristoll, by Order of this House, be forthwith brought up a Prisoner to this House, by the Serjeant at Arms, or his Deputy.

Ordered, That Sir John Hobarte, a Member of this House, shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Resolved, &c. That the Person of the King shall be disposed of, as both Houses of the Parliament of England shall think fit.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in this Vote.

Resolved, &c. That this House doth declare, That, whatsoever Conference, Consultation, or Debate, shall be with the Commissioners of Scotland, concerning the Disposal of the Person of the King, it shall not be understood to be any Capitulation, in relation to the Retarding of the March of the Scotts Armies and Forces out of the Kingdom, or of any Treaty between the Kingdoms concerning the same.

Resolved, &c. That the Lords Concurrence be desired in this Vote.

Mr. Holles is appointed to carry these Votes to the Lords, at their next Meeting.

Ordered, That the Lady Herbert, Wife to the Lord Herbert of Ragland, shall have Mr. Speaker's Pass to go into France, only according to the Pass given her by Sir Thomas Fairfax.

Upon Mr. Alderman Pennyngton's Report from the Committee appointed to take into Consideration the Petition of the Merchants trading the Levant Seas, complaining of the hard Conditions, and grievous Oppressions, put upon them by Sir Sackvile Crow, their Ambassador; and desiring Redress of the same;

It is Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree, and order, to grant to the said Company a Letter to the Grand Signior, for Revocation of the said Sir Sackvile Crow; and to desire the Lords Concurrence to the same End.

It is further Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree and order, to grant unto the said Company a Letter to the Grand Visier of the Port, or such other Person or Persons as shall be necessary, and desired by the said Company for the same Purpose.

It is further Resolved, &c. That this House doth agree, and grant unto the said Company, that they shall have a Commission, under the Great Seal of England, directed to such Person or Persons, as the said Company shall nominate, and think fit, with such large Powers, Instructions, and other Instruments, as shall be necessary for the Transacting of the said Company: And that the Lords Concurrence be desired.

Resolved, &c. That the House doth adjourn itself till Tuesday Morning next, at Eight of Clock.
