1^a vice lecta est Billa, An Act for the Erecting of the Parish of Christ-church in Tothillfields, and for endowing the Rectory aforesaid, &c.

Leave of Absence.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Hunt shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Mr. Coventry has Leave to go into the Country:

Kent Petition.

That those Witnesses that are employed in the Business of the Petition framed at Maidston, shall give their Attendance upon the Committee; and not depart till the House give further Order.

That the Committee for the Kentish Petition shall have Power to make as many Sub-committees as they shall think fit, for the more speedy Expedition of that Business.

Ordered, That all the Members of that Committee do attend That Committee this Afternoon, at Two of Clock; and more especially and particularly the Lawyers of that Committee.

A Message from the Lords, by Sir Ro. Rich and Mr. Page;

Trial of Benion.

The Lords have commanded us to let you know, that they have appointed to hear the Cause against Benion To-morrow, at Nine of Clock, upon the Impeachment against him, brought up by this House, if this House shall be then ready.

Mr. Serjeant Wilde, Mr. Glyn, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Whittlock, Mr. Strode, Mr. Walth. Long, are to prepare and manage the Evidence at the Trial of Mr. Benion, To-morrow Morning, before the Lords, at Nine of Clock.

Answer returned by the same Messengers;

The House has taken into Consideration their Lordships Message; and is resolved to proceed, as is desired.

Merchants of Intercourse.

Ordered, That the Collectors for the Subsidy shall forbear to levy the Subsidies upon the Merchants of Intercourse, until this House shall take farther Order.

Whitledges' Petition.

Ordered, That the Examination of the Business complained of in Mr. Whitledges of Tewxbury his Petition, be referred to the Committee for Informations; and that the Certificate from the Judge of that Circuit, upon an Order of this House, for referring that Business unto him, be likewise considered of by that Committee.

Publishing King's Declarations, &c.

Sir Tho. Dacres, Mr. Whittlock, Mr. Solicitor, Mr. Holles, Mr. Martin, Sir H. Vane, Sir Simonds D'Ewes, Mr. Crue, Mr. Fienis, are presently to withdraw into the Court of Wards, to consider of the Commands sent from his Majesty to the several Sheriffs, for the dispersing through the several Counties Messages from his Majesty, and Declarations, and other Passages of Parliament; and to consider of some Order to be made herein: And the Order conceived to that Purpose, and now offered to the House, is referred to the Consideration of this Committee.

That Mr. Fienis send up for the Witnesses that can make good the Information that this Day he gave to the House, concerning the Publishing, by Proclamation, Declarations from his Majesty, and other Passages of Parliament, by the Under Sheriff of Worcestershire: And likewise; concerning Words spoken by a Churchwarden, touching Orders of Parliament, how far they were to be obeyed, &c.

Irish Adventurers.

It is this Day Ordered, by the Lords and Commons in Parliament assembled, That John Warner, John Towse, Tho. Andrews, Aldermen, and Law. Halsted Esquire, appointed by the Act of Parliament, lately enacted, for Adventurers for raising of Forces for the War of Ireland, shall pay and deliver unto Nicholas Loftus Esquire, Deputy to the Treasurer at Wars for Ireland, the Sum of Ten thousand Pounds of the Monies in their Hands, to be employed for the Service of Ireland: For which this shall be their sufficient Warrant: And the Adventurers shall have the publick Faith of the Parliament, for Repayment of the same.

Resolved, upon the Question, That it shall be thus ordered; and the Lords be moved therein.

Sir Jo. Holland brings Answer, That the Lords will take Consideration of a Commission; and send it to this House.

Resolved, upon the Question, That Mr. Ro. Goodwyn shall have Leave to go into the Country.

Crew's Claims.

Ordered, That the humble Petition of Mr. Randolph Crew Merchant, concerning the laying out of great Sums of Money, for the setting forth of this Summer's Fleet, be referred to the Committee for the Navy, where Mr. Green has the Chair.

Transporting Horses.

Ordered, That Mr. Playters, Son to Sir Wm. Playters, shall have Liberty to transport into France Four Horses for his own Use, he going to travel into France for his Health.

Ditto.

Ordered, That Sir H. Vane shall have Liberty to transport Eight Horses into Holland, to Two Sons of his that have Command there.

Bailing & Prisoner.

Ordered, That it be referred to Sir Ro. Pye and Mr. Whittacre, to take into Consideration the Commitment of Macally and Gourdon, Two Scotchmen, to the end they may be bailed, if they be bailable by Law.

Powder for Gloucefter.

Ordered, That Mr. Cordwell do deliver Ten Barrels of Powder, for the Use of the City of Gloucester; he being paid for the same, according to the Rates agreed upon.

Witnesses to attend.

Ordered, That the Witnesses touching Sir Jo. Delavale's Petition be summoned to attend this House; and to bring such Letters, or other Informations, as they have, concerning the same.

Scandalous Ministers.

Ordered, That the Committee for scandalous Ministers do sit this Afternoon, at Two of the Clock, in the Court of Wards.

St. Dunstan's in the East Lecturer.

Ordered, That both the Petitions concerning a `Lecturer for the Parish of St. Dunstan's in the East, exhibited by the Parishioners, be referred to the Consideration of the Committee for scandalous Ministers.

Scandalous Ministers.

Ordered, That the Bill for scandalous Ministers shall be read the Third time To-morrow Morning.

Soldiers Petition.

Ordered, That the Petition of the Soldiers shall be read To-morrow Morning.

Tumults, &c.

Sir Jo. Evelyn brings Answer, That the Lords have appointed Fifteen to receive such Informations as shall be given by the King's Counsel, concerning Tumults and seditious Pamphlets; and have appointed to meet To-morrow, at Eight Clock.

This Committee is appointed to meet with a proportionable Number of the Lords, concerning such Information as shall be given by the King's Counsel, touching the seditious Pamphlets and Tumults: And are to meet To-morrow, at Eight Clock, in the Painted Chamber.

Irish Commissioners.

Sir Jo. Evelyn brings further Answer, That the Lords do agree to have the Commissioners of Ireland to meet every Afternoon; and have appointed to meet this Afternoon, at Five Clock, in the Court of Star-chamber.

Sir Walter Erle brings Answer, That the Lords do agree to the Order for the Ten thousand Pounds for Mr. Loftus.

Turkey Company.

Ordered, That Sir H. Vane shall, To-morrow Morning make Report of the Business concerning One per Cent.; and touching the Turkey Company.
