Member excused.

MR. Sutton is excused from coming to the House, in respect of his Man's Sickness.

Difference between Serj. Wilde, &c.

The House will take into Consideration the Difference between Serjeant Wilde and Sir H. Herbert the Thirtieth of November next: Mr. Salloway did likewise then present, in Writing, a Relation of that Business, according to what he formerly delivered in this House by Word of Mouth, under his own Hand, which he desired might remain here for Evidence, in case, of his great Age, he should die in the mean time, or be absent.

Letters read.

Two Letters were this Day read; the One from the Lord General of the 20th of Aug'; another from Sir Wm. Uvedale of the 18th of this instant Month.

Provision for Monies.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the House shall be forthwith resolved into a Committee, to take into Consideration some Way for the present Provision of Monies.

Mr. Speaker accordingly left the Chair: And

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Gentlemen that serve for the City shall forthwith repair to the City, and earnestly desire, from this House, to borrow Forty thousand Pounds (without which the King's Army cannot be disbanded) for a Month with Consideration, upon the Security of the Two last of the Four Subsidies and the Poll-bill.

Resolved, upon the Question, That those that serve for the City, bring To-morrow Morning, a perfect Account of what Monies hath come in upon the Poll-bill from the several Counties; and what hath been paid by several Wards.

Farmers of Customs.

Ordered, That the Old Farmers of the Customs shall be required, by the Serjeant, forthwith to pay the Arrears of the Hundred and Fifty thousand Pounds.

Poll-money.

Resolved, upon the Question, That the Speaker shall write several Letters to the several Sheriffs of the Counties, to let them know how much it concerns the Safety of the Kingdom, that the Money upon the Pollbill be speedily paid in; and how much their Neglect hath prejudiced the Kingdom.

Lord Falkland and Mr. Crue are to prepare these Letters; and to present them to the House.

Disbanding the Army, &c.

Ordered, That the Committee for the King's Army do meet this Afternoon, at Two of Clock, in the Court of Wards, to consider of such Ways as they shall think fit for the Raising of present Monies for disbanding the Army; and to present them to the House To-morrow Morning; and to consider how the Army may be forthwith disbanded; and likewise to consider of the Proposition of Sleighting the Works at Berwick, Carlell, and about Newcastle; and likewise to consider of the Proposition of transporting the Ammunition and Ordnance.

Army Accounts.

And it is further Ordered, That this Committee shall examine the State of the Accounts of the Army from the Beginning; and has Power to call Two Auditors unto them, to be Assistants unto them in this Service.

Mr. Pym and Mr. Whistler are added to this Committee: And all, that will come, are to have Voices at this Committee.

Adjournment.

Resolved, upon the Question, That a Conference shall be desired with the Lords To-morrow Morning, concerning a Time of Recess.

Father Phillip's Letter.

Ordered, That the Printing of the Copy of Father Phillips' Letter, be referred to the Consideration of the Committee for the Bill of Printing.

Reformado Officers.

Ordered, That the Petition from the Reformado Officers be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.

East India Company.

Ordered, That the Petition from the Governor and Company of Merchants of London, trading to the East Indies, be taken into Consideration To-morrow Morning.
