Burgh's Estate.

AN ingrossed Bill, from the Lords, intituled, An Act for settling certain Lands, in Essex, on Tho. Burgh Esquire, and his Heirs, in lieu of other Lands, of greater Value, conveyed by him, according to a Decree, and the Will of Sir Samuel Jones, deceased, was, according to Order, read a Second time.

Resolved, That the Bill be committed to Sir FraMasham, Mr. Milbank, Sir Henry Colt, Mr. Mountstevens, Sir Tho. Roberts, Sir William Hustler, Sir William Lowther, Mr. Pengelly, Mr. Stringer, Sir Isaac Rebow, Mr. Povey, Mr. Bertie, Lord Digby, Mr. Freeman, Mr. Machell, Mr. Phillipps, Mr. Palmer, Sir John Turner, Mr. Slater, Sir Cha. Hotham, Sir John Kay, Mr. Farrer, Mr. White, Mr. Pendarvis, Sir Edward Norris, Mr. Harvey, Sir Eliab Harvey, Mr. Monson, Mr. Lambton, Sir John Fleet, Mr. Foley, Mr. England, Mr. Morgan, Mr. Stevens, Mr. Blofeild, Mr. Brewer, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Thornhagh, Sir John Bolles; and all that serve for the Counties of Essex and Hertford: And they are to meet this Afternoon at Five a Clock, in the Speaker's Chamber.

Privilege.

A Complaint being made to the House, That one Richard Turner, a Receiver of the Taxes for the last Year, although he had received, and given a Discharge in full, for the Taxes due from Sir Henry Gough, a Member of this House, had distrained the Goods of the said Sir Henry Gough, for the same Tax, in Breach of the Privilege of this House;

Ordered, That it be referred to the Committee of Privileges and Elections, do examine the Matter of the said Complaint; and report the same, with their Opinion therein, to the House.

Ettrick's Estate.

Sir William Bowes reported from the Committee, to whom the Bill to enable Anthony Ettrick Gentleman to sell Part of his late Wife's Lands, pursuant to Articles of Agreement, made in her Life-time, for the Sale thereof, was committed, That they had examined the Matter, and heard the Petitioners against the Bill; and considered the Matters to them referred; and made some Amendments to the Bill; which they had directed him to report to the House; which he read in his Place; and afterwards delivered in at the Clerk's Table: Where the same were once read throughout; and then a Second time, one by one; and, upon the Question severally put thereupon, agreed unto by the House.

Ordered, That the Bill, with the Amendments, be ingrossed.

Colchester Workhouses.

An ingrossed Bill for erecting Hospitals and Workhouses in the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof, was read the Third time.

And an Amendment was proposed to be made, Press 8. L. *. after "force," to insert "or hereafter to be in force:"

And the same was, upon the Question put thereupon, agreed unto by the House; and the Bill amended at the Table accordingly.

Resolved, That the Bill do pass: And that the Title be, An Act for erecting Hospitals and Work-houses in the Town of Colchester, in the County of Essex, for the better employing and maintaining the Poor thereof.

Ordered, That Sir Francis Masham do carry the Bill to the Lords, and desire their Concurrence thereunto.

Ordered, That Leave for Members to go out of Town be moved for only between the Hours of Twelve and One a Clock.

Ordered, That the House be called over again upon this Day Fortnight: And that such Members as shall not then attend be sent for in Custody of the Serjeant at Arms attending this House.

Counterfeiting Coin.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of the whole House, to whom the Bill for the better preventing the counterfeiting, clipping, and other diminishing, the Coin of this Kingdom, was committed, be received upon this Day Sevennight at Twelve a Clock; and nothing to intervene.

Militia Regulation.

Resolved, That this House will, upon Thursday Morning next, resolve itself into a Committee of the whole House, to consider further of the Bill to regulate and settle the Militia; and nothing to intervene.

Committees.

Ordered, That all Committees be revived.

Privilege of a Member in a Suit.

Ordered, That the Report from the Committee of Privileges and Elections, upon the Petition of William Wharton, and Eunice his Wife, be made upon Saturday Morning next.
